I need to send a package via Air Freight from Rapid City, South Dakota to Kingsgrove NSW 1480 Australia.

There is 3 boxes of the following:
Box size is 18-1/2" x 8-1/2" x 4-1/4"
Weight is 17 pounds (total is 51 pounds)

Can someone let me know the cost and the fastest delivery time?

Thanks.
I am an EE noob.

USPS is cheaper than UPS which is cheaper than FEDEX
Always.
Unless you have a high volume shipment account, in which case UPS is the cheapest.

Yeah, I see $714 for delivery on the 5th, $625 for delivery on the 10th with FedEx. USPS is $393 for 3-5 business days, $301 for 6-10 days.

I ship internationally at work a lot, and USPS is about half has expensive as UPS and Fedex- UPS and Fedex are almost always similar.

thats why USPS is broke and cost US tax payers hundreds of millions a year in bail outs

Nah, USPS just has sweetheart deals with local carriers- if UPS or Fedex ships, they have to take care of it the whole way, but USPS hands it off to the local carrier- it does result in more things being lost. We lose about 3-5% of packages shipped internationally through USPS, so everything high dollar goes through UPS.

"The USPS has not directly received taxpayer-dollars since the early 1980s with the minor exception of subsidies for costs associated with the disabled and overseas voters."

Yes, hundreds of millions of dollars! End government waste, just because literally every other developed country in the world has a postal service doesn't mean we need one!

I would have assumed tax payers were subsidizing it. I know its billions in the red each year, any idea how it finances those deficits?

Lol, awesome! I'd sure as hell rather pay for an entire year of postal service instead of a dozen F-22 Craptors. If the PO did not have to shell out 5.5B off the top every year for retirement benefits for the year 2087 (!!!), they would be breaking even.

Don't bother with USPS. They say 1 week, and then take 3-4.

Most of the losses aren't cash items, but the company is deep in negative equity and needs to come up with some fancy tricks ASAP. It does however benefit from implicit (or possibly explicit, haven't checked) government guarantees when issuing debt, kind of like FNMA.
