December of 1996 on my first internet capabe pc. Gone are the days of IBM 386 with a dial up modem and no knowledge of this new fanled thing called the Interweb.

Earth 2025 was 1 of 2 games in the catergory "Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game" in the "Big book of the things to do on the internet" First year of middle school, 6th grade!

*Note* I play just as good now as the first day I logged in.

Edit: I suppose the 25th is technically my first day, but the 28th was the first day I ever played turns. :P

1989-91ish I was playing a MUD run out of Kansas or Kansas State University. Sun MuD or something like that. I was in college as well. I remember the HUGE secret I was let in on. This thing called the World Wide Web. HUGE secret supposedly. Some guy running a computer lab showed me.

Honestly, the only real thing the World Wide Web did was allow you to play games if you knew the correct IP and port to connect to with your dial up modem. Used the computers at school.

After college, as a poor person, I used WebTV to play Earth

There are those of us who would rather not reveal our grey hairs, and therefore don't reveal when we started this game.

I started playing in February 1998...I was 12 years old.

Now I'm 26, will be 27 in August. Over half my life wasted.

Wasted nuke? Just think, you could go just about anywhere in the world, and have a bed to crash on as well as homemade authentic local food.
