My take at this time is that the SOL/EVO FS momentum might put LAF in an untenable position.

If I was running SOF, I would be thinking about a couple of scenarios:

(1) FS SOL/EVO in defense of LAF, expecting to be hit by their allies (bringing in another 60 to 100 countries).

(2) leave LAF to fend for itself and FS MD/PDM or MD/bunch of other tags if PDM is pacted.

Being FS instead of doing a FS would really suck, could mean the need to call in an ally to make up the numbers...

Anyway, the SOL/EVO fs momentum makes me favor option 1 at this time...

not sure why anyone would FS SoF, only alliance that really has a reason is fighting LaF right now, and that'll take a good part of the set to finish. so the last one about being FS'd can be crossed off.

I figure they could do either option 1 or 2, or take a set to evaluate any future moves they might want todo earth empires is a giant Chess board after all :-P

chances are, they'll wait, gather strength, and then strike, time favors SoF, with any decision they choose to make reguarding this set.

heh, this thing reminded me of a third option, something that met did in its first set way back in 2006, which would be hilarious just based on the amount of AT outrage.

SOF could also do an one or two day war on SOL/EVO to counter their FS advantage, then CF and go do their own thing in the set.

SOF has to war this set. Going from there, their possible targets could decide to preempt. Having both sof and laf lose 30 or so countries to FS in the same set could mean the difference between doing it on their own and needing to call an ally.



Timing is important. Often there is a point in a war where there is no way to turn a war around with the assets you have.

because SoF is driving people away from this game, SoF should be FSed! (not to include that SoF FSed SoL in defense of Rival.)

but why is it that LaF is always taking all the fun?

SOF will spoil the fun? I hope not. LAF showed awesome activity for the past set. It's still too early to say which side is winning.

regarding the war, if it still is too early to make a call, it is easy to note and say that LAF has an uphill battle. Just check the TNW difference...

TNW in the first hours (and even the first days) is not too meaningful because it's not like everyone has bought up all that they could. While people aren't going to have tons of stock or anything at this point, they're all not going to have max military either.

goin gto be an interesting war I suspect. bit early to call one way or another without seeing the LaF CS, hopeflly by this time tomorrow we can make some solid predictions.

TaSk1 is correct he just didn't clarify. LAF was FSed, then SoF FSed and then MD/PDM FSed. The last 2 FSes essentially cancel each other out in terms of math.

Before SoF entered SOL/Evo held the FS advantage of 10 kills over LAF but since then we have narrowed that gap.

two very close wars, can rival overcome the nw gap?

purely from a war leaders point of view looking at all the factors, i think sol/laf can and will come back to win simply because they do not have to co-ordinate 4 alliances, I have always considered that to be a disadvantage.

Tie will stay ahead in their war with rival, this is based on experience with my war with tie and the fact they have the breakers to stay ahead

the next 72 to 120 hours are very very crucial and will give an indication to who will win both wars. However with such a long way to go, both could go ether way of any alliance slacks off during the middle of the war, which is generally when you see a decline as people get into routines. But if the alliances who have the nw advantage can pull out a massive lead in breakers in the next 72 to 120 hours then the writing could be on the wall. Same with if the alliances behind in NW can really shrink that NW gap, if they can do that they will shift momentum and if that happens they should pull away.

lots of things to consider, lots of time to go however i would put money on tie and probably wouldnt like to bet on the bigger war unless it was good odds for my money.

Other possibilities:
PDM is too scary for LaF/SoF to try and hit
PDM is too unthreatening for LaF/SoF to bother with hitting them
