just a reminder that we (game mods/admin) take cheating accusations very seriously and are more than glad to investigate any suspicious activities brought to our attention in private via in game messaging or in board messaging.

Please refrain from doing so publically on the forums. The only conclusive evidence that you can have that someone cheated is if myself or a game admin posts so publically on a forum or a country remains deleted for rules violations.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

If the game mods took these things seriously, galleri wouldn't be on express talk revealing that crest23 (who revealed that smlandau84, a profilic cheater, was an alias of Mr Titanium) had other aliases. They'd probably be focusing on the cheating side of things than outing those who speak out against cheaters.

I think people should be able to post cheater on this board too. Hell, anyone who exposes one is good no matter where it is done. Why are we after the guys doing the mods job instead of that maybe the mods should just tell them thanks next time someone posts about a cheater here.

No offense to him but it has nothing to do with "respect". Wrong is wrong and right is right. If Martin told you to rob a bank Galleri would you do it and then later say "well, i only did it to respect his wishes". I think not. I am sure Martin tries to do what he thinks is right but in this case i strongly disagree. I am not name calling him or going off on him- IE - i am not showing disrespect. At least one of the threads here concerned a certain RD head, not LaF. Though martian's post might have been more general.

if you have solid evidence and it is confirmed by myself or an admin following an investigation then yes you can post cheater all you like (within reason).

For the record many of the accusations posted on these forums (not just AT) are actually quite baseless and in some cases imposible unless someone was literally spending tens of thousands of dollars to do it (or in some cases millions or could break the laws of physics).

I will always give people the benefit of the doubt in that their requests for investigation/evidence brought forward is done so in good faith. Part of the reason why we almost never delete players for innapropriate country names is because otherwise reporting becomes a political tool in an effort to get opponents deleted... :P
