Maybe it's just me, but I can't seem to read my news.

Whenever I click on one of the news links, or make an attack, I just get a black screen with the side option bar, I can't see any of my actual news or attack results.

Also, I can't access my Alliance country. It's still alive (at least according to boxcar) and well, and I can access the other servers, but whenever I try and log in to my alliance country it suddenly kicks me from my account.

did you try refreshing on one of the pages?

I did just put in a new attacking thing, and new news....

What url are you going to exactly?

See all news and defending won't work for me. Spy, Market, and relations seem to work now that I test them.

URL for defending is normal sit then /main?types=30,40,41&

I've refreshed it but nothing.

As for my alliance, I just click on Play your country and all of a sudden I'm at my login screen at http://www.earthempires.com/
Any alliance link does that to me (previous country, server details, etc.)
Though I seem to be technincally logged in still since when I hit play it brings me back to the screen to choose my server.

this is a recurring but very rare occurence on express

it is not really a black screen
it is that the news of your attack for some reason does not publish across from your turn options like market, search, spy center etc but below it and you can not scroll up

the reason i say it is not a black screen is because u can see the tiny gray arrow on the far right of the screen

so u have to go to the public news to see if ur attack was successful

i am experiencing this bug right now on express

my problem is the oppsite, when I login to each ffa country I see the last 10 days market news for each country lol

Oh, I think that's saying what Lincoln was saying.

That the news is publishing low on the page, below what you can see on the actual monitor, so it's there but you can't actually see it or scroll to it.

Hmm... It's still not working on my IE.

I downloaded firefox and I can see my news and log into my alliance account from there, so I can run my account like normal, but it still won't work on my IE. Maybe it's an interaction problem with that.

i use IE8

the page is like below the view space of the browser, and you can't scroll to it

well it would be nice if you had fixed it today

i cant see any attacking or defending news

i cant see the results of landgrabs or any attacks

couldn't you have reverted to the old code until you found a solution instead of leaving the game broken for a whole day?

If you need to see the results of landgrabs, use ingame news, clan sites, or pay attention to the results shown in the war room.

If that's not good enough for you, use an alternate web browser for a day.

IE is the most widely used browser, used by more than half of internet users

i don't know why this game would be developed and tested for use by a minority web brower

and normally when somethings broken you guys revert it back until its fixed... so its odd that it wasnt this time is all

----> not really, because i totally cut off the input to 2 main data tables, including from the market handling bots... so while, yes, i could do that, there would be about a day worth of news "missing"

We're delaying on the input because it works on the new template and pang thinks we'll be ready to go with that by the end of the day....

Why half of the internet users use IE is beyond me. I switched to FF and Chrome and cannot go back to using IE.

yep... IE died many years ago. and, i'd be suprised if even 20% of this game's users used IE.
