The strong always pick on the weak. The strong gets stronger and the weak gets weaker

I think its funny i can hit 5 people with absolutely no shot at a retal. Which in turn makes them ticked off, and not want to play primary. If i didn't learn that everyone essentially goes jet heavy, i wouldn't be enjoying my set so far. So lesson for all new players, jets are vital early not defense.

that's terrible advice. actual good players will sit back until you are about to hit humanitarian range then smack you down. no matter how jet heavy you are a couple weeks into the set you won't be breaking someone 4x your size.

the key is to not suck. stay atleast half as large as the t10 and you won't be farmed all set.

you do that by learning a basic strat and sticking closish to it.

Um, im protected from noobs, and can break a vast amount of people. The first week was rough and i made solid retals while going jet heavy. Unless they want to lose gdi, they wont ror.

You are mistaken Crowgora. The top players keep roughly 1:1 jet to turret ratio. Sometimes it becomes 60%:40% or 40%:60% once in a while to make a larger grab or climb a bit of defense, but they definitely do not go jet-heavy.

I guess the ten or so retals i took were from people with minimal defense then. But, the first week especially, making sure you can retal is key. Anyone ror'ing early can guarantee suicides at the end of the set. My opinion, its a nice safety net.
