Due to the shifting of the poles, the Devil's triangle (Asian edition) has taken that flight and given it to some extra-terrestrials so that they can anally probe all 239 people on board to determine what it is that makes us tick so that when the time comes for their invasion, they will have the proper pesticide to eliminate the human infection from the Earth.

Geez, guys, at least try to be creative.

I am sure if they went to marshal and asked him where the plane is he would have the answer. He knows everything.......

Like mrford said, fluff is hard to find in the real world, especially in the god damn oceans, which are god damn huge. You can't even find your god damn remote control in your god damn living room, and you expect a few ships to find a small plane in a massive body of water?

I think Google is responsible for this misconception that searching for things is easy.

false. in 2007 and 2009 flights disappeared and in one case it took 2 YEARS for the wreckage to be found.

people seem to live in this interactive world where they forget how large the real world actually is.

right now they are using 100 ships and aircraft to search a 100 mile radius. a search area with a 100 mile radius is 31,416 SQUARE MILES. the total surface area of the worlds oceans is something like 140 MILLION square miles. if a plane goes down in an area where there arnt prominent shipping lanes or aircraft alleys, then it is extremely hard to find, especially if contact is lost at cruising altitude and the plane has to fall 8 miles before it hits anything.

Most modern civilian aircraft dont beam their exact location and vital systems information to ground controllers constantly, it is just stored on the infamous black box. the technology to do this is around, but most airline companies find it to be nither cost effective or needed. In addition "hacking" a modern aircraft is all but impossible due to the built in redundancies and presence of PILOTS in the fluffpit.

I find it amazing how advanced people think our world is. It is still a VERY big place. Until anything more is known, the plane disappeared. any speculation after that is just reckless.

In the late 90's or early 2000's there is a case where they believe the pilots and crew lost consciousness and crashed due to a slow de-presurisation of the aircraft. they believe it was due to a fault in manufacturing around the door, i think it was a type of airbus?(i dunno i have watched to many aircraft crash investigations in my time, i may be mixing up to stories, but i know there is a case of it happening before.)

Ford you know anything about that?

http://en.wikipedia.org/...Helios_Airways_Flight_522

that was one of the most recent and worst. there is one every few years with small 4-12 passenger aircraft. large airliners dont usually succomb to this fate, but it has happened before. all 121 died in the one that i linked.

the thing about these type of accidents is the plane usually flys on autopilot until it runs out of fuel. there was one in the early 2000s in the US where everyone on the jet passed out and kept flying. when ATCs noticed it didnt make a turn indicated in its flight plan and the pilots were heard mumbeling F-16s were dispatched to "inspect" the aircraft on 3 separate occasions before it finally ran out of fuel and crashed. it flew for 1500 miles off course before running out of fuel. THIS is why if this is what happened in this recent case, finding the aircraft might take a REALLY long time. the 777 had fuel to flr much further than 1500 miles of course on autopilot.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone

AS I UNDERSTAND IT (DISCLAIMER, THIS IS AT LEAST SECOND HAND), THE PILOTS ARE ABLE TO TURN TRANSPONDERS OFF TO PROVIDE THEM WITH A WAY TO SIGNAL THAT THEY ARE UNDER DURESS BY TURNING OFF AND BACK ON, CAUSING A BLIP.. IN MODERN AIRCRAFT THEY CAN ACTUALLY CHANGE THE CODE BEING SENT TO ACCOMPLISH THE SAME BUT I GUESS ON OLDER PLANES THEY DON'T HAVE THAT OPTION SO THE OFF/ON REMAINS..

http://www.kktv.com/...s-Hijacked-250430441.html

"A Malaysian official says investigators have concluded a missing jet was hijacked and steered off-course.

The jet disappeared last Friday on a flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Beijing, China. There were 239 passengers and crew on board.

Two communications systems on board the Boeing 777 failed, one after the other, as the plane was flying at 35,000 feet.

Satellites picked up signals from the plane for four hours after it disappeared. Those signals suggest the plane was flying west toward the Indian Ocean, away from its destination, although it's possible the plane could have been on the ground for some of that time.

A Malaysian government official says only a skilled person could navigate the plane the way it was flown after its last confirmed location over the South China Sea.

Despite a widespread search, there's still no sign of the missing plane."

If anyone's interested in some more technical speculations, http://www.airliners.net is a large community of airplane enthusiasts which includes lots of real experts from the industry. You can't post on their forum without paying, and they've written so much by now that it would take some time to wade through. But that's the place if you want speculation from people with real detailed knowledge about airplanes.
