Temporary DR stop-gap for Express

Hi all,

There's a series of changes intended for solo servers that are designed to resolve some of the DR abuse problems on the solo servers. Both qz and I have been so busy offline that we haven't had a chance to finalize and implement them. Express is the first destination for these changes, as it has the shortest round length.

In the mean time, we're going to be asking the Express moderators to treat purposefully putting a country into DR as a deletable offense. there may be cases where only 1 country is deleted and there may be cases where both countries are deleted. like my thread title stays, this is a short-term stop gap measure while we finish tweaking the actual mechanic. with a change like that we certainly can't roll it out without thoroughly testing it.

I greatly appreciate all the hard work to try to overcome those who are bent on cheating. :)

Just gotta remember, the cheaters will eventually find yet another way. It's almost inevitable.

They cant remove the GS BR AB from giving DR or people who get sucicded on would get taken out in half as many turns, thus making it harder to play when some tool wants to ruin your set.

DR equals less than 1 citizen = dead country...all that said, why do kr requirements need to be unnecessarily high in run numbers since structures are known and land is known in terms of free acres then why does it take soooooo long to acquire land and terminate a civilization or to destroy all of its buildings...??? I don't know how others manage to kill my nations well I can't even nuke enough with PS and SS AB and BR and GS and spy ops like poisoning water and food supply and dissention and demoralization and all other harmful spy ops to kill theirs....??

Could a administrator tell me how to quickest kill a country with missiles, strikes, and ops?

And, how to avoid best being killed?

Well the purpose of DR is to stop you from getting landfarmed by everyone after you have been sledge-hammered by a country trying to bring you down - to allow some room to build back up. A pseudo-protection. If they were on seperate DRs, you could get fully AB'd one day, and then continue losing full land to ruthless attackers. Hell, anyone you broke GDI with could farm you, then AB you and then log back on 12 hours later and farm you again. All the while, anyone else can join in the farming freely because you have no means to fight back.
