say someone jumps from 5 to 25mill NW

thats 20mill NW in stock

a no MB demo destocks around $255 per NW

20mill NW would be 5.1bill cash. stocking would be required because of corruption.

so yes, people stock on express. put that thinking cap on and use that brain

I used too, but than I would get group attacked and they would all buyup so I would have to blow all my stock to retal all the idiots anyways. So I don't stock anymore.
Do as I say, not as I do.

One thing I have noticed is that after the AB and GS runs which break out mid to late set there are people around with very high DR. They have been unable to stock themselves so might as well continue being aggressive.

Sitting behind a wall of turrets may provide some protection (and that looks like what the leaders are doing) which mostly prevents stocking or, I supose you can try to time your run to the line so as to keep the period of stocking as short as possible before you jump.

Hard to do, that, I suspect.

MBR would be good but there doesn't seem time and anyway, the military market has been virtually inactive so even that doesn't look as though it would be effective.

A lot to think about.

I stocked 4.5m bushels for my rep casher to Dictator conversion at turn 650 or so. Bought at $35 and sold 2m at $68 and $88. Then i bought a few more at $36 and waited until I had 360/300 turns which is when the techers Finally dropped the price of bus res to below $2500, greedy bastards! I sold most of the bushels at $48 and went grabbing. If bushels had jumped again to the $70's I might have got top 10 with my Dicatator.

Normally i stock because I would go over $2b cash. Then I destock to make my jump.

But why is there no activity on the military market? You can't destock #2b from private market alone.

Because everyone is broke because the techers and that one oiler were so greedy

Also, if you log out for 20 hours you get a massive PM stock. You can easily spend $2b in ill gotten gains there. (I prefer spending my ill gotten gains elsewhere ;)

When I fully stock I have between 40-65 mill bushels and 2-3 bill cash.

Well I find it amazing that people are managing to destock solely out of their private markets. Also I have seen few people making noticeable jumps in the last 24 hours.

Which, I think shows I have much to learn, especially on this interesting server. :)

PS - ahhh, what I am not allowing for is the speed with which the private market refreshes. Perhaps that is why the military market is dead.

the PM refreshes at

3 troops
2.5 jets
2.5 turrets
1 tank

per acre, per turn.

the flip side is there is decay on any units sitting on your PM every tick of the turn while you are logged out, so staying logged out for an extended time (it is 40 hours on slower alliance servers, im sure Getafix's number of 20 is pretty good here) then you will be able to build up a large PM, but make sure you buy every single unit that you plan on destocking to before every turn tick once you do login.

layman's terms, when destocking make sure to log out for an extended time to build your initial purchase up, then buy every unit before a turn ticks over.

destocked 2 bil in cash and 40 mil bushels. noticed the market wasn't very active. put most of my $$$ in private market just to stick it to the indies. didn't work.

I ran a pretty fat 0 retal 0 defense oiler landfarm kinda thing last set. Don't think I remembered to destock, but I was putting a ton of oil on the market as a fasc oiler.

This set i wanted to run a C/I for the first time on this server, fluffed up my startup thursday morning, and gave up for the weekend.

Oh Deezy, Deezy. I was camped out ready to take a sizeable chunk of that $2 billion at maxed out Military Theo private market rates (well plus my VERY reasonable profit of course). All you had to do was start buying and the troops and tanks would have been there, fully equipped, freshly painted and in their best dress uniforms.

if the military was cheap i would have. If it's close to my private market prices i try not to help out the theo's and commie's. Was a rough set for a casher anyways.
