I would love some teching tips, too, beerdrinker. I think my buddy ebert has been holding back a little on me. I actually thought a techer might have this set.

I also thought 24 had made an effort to change this set, but looks like he preferred RoR over gaining credibility. I used my turns on someone with the same issue. I knew 24 would eventually drop due to high expenses, but thought he was focused this time. Trying to give the boy credit and he let me down.

Agreed, seemed like their were more bots/ land this set.


Tip for all the newcomers, idiots, or whomever you are:

We have bots and various levels of experience in this game. The fact that someone's net is low on Friday or even Saturday or Sunday doesn't mean they are a bot or don't know what in the hell they are doing. If you spy op them, I suggest that you look at the number of turns and missiles before you start counting their military points on your fingers. If you have 0 turns and they have hundreds, you will have fluffed yourself if you hit them or RoR them. Most will sacrifice their top 10 score to help you learn...that's how kind we are.

To simplify this: Don't shoot your wad just before fluffing with a veteran player. Bots are easily recognizable.

Forgot to mention in last one that it seemed like 60 had his own land farm with 111. I hope I'm wrong..I didn't spy either one and based that comment on the news. 111 top feeding every now and then; 60 farming 111. Glad the cowboys took both out. We are a self-governing server lol.

It's getting really old, I decided to just quit the set this go around. Guy was so terrible it wasn't even worth it.

That looks pretty cast iron looking at the time stamps. He must have been pissed when 112 snuck in that big hit while he was changing devices.

How do you see the news for the last set?

Hammer & Kingme: No idea why you're so salty over this. Savings 720 turns on Express is OP as fluff so you deserve to get hit for not using them and remaining small while everyone else uses turns and becomes vulnerable to larger land grabs.

Sometimes circumstances force people to play later, such as jobs, visitors, unexpected travel, etc, allowing turns to accumulate very quickly as they do in Express. I'd much rather take advantage of the higher market prices and bots in low DR on the first days.

One of several strategic benefits when one must play later is that tech is often cheaper later in the game.

Sorry in advance, but here is the deal: I do not tell you what you "deserve" when you play a rainbow, so please don't tell me what I deserve when you do not know my strategy, circumstances, or anything else about me. To be sitting in the top 10 on late Saturday (game ends on Sunday for me) with 200 turns gives a person a great opportunity to finish in top 5 or better. Give it a try and finish in the top 10 instead of getting flattened for playing with the logic you just displayed - that someone "deserves" something.

The thing about 360 (360) is that it leaves you in the gutter and very exposed. People simply don't check turns before they hit so if you're even slightly fat you're going to get tapped, and even if you're not hit early on then the DR=0 means you'll be attractive later. And the big retals you take mean you get RoR'd.

Does mean you can go all jets and have some fun though.

There is definitely a right and wrong way to do it... but if you're not checking turns and 5x'ing you're not doing it right.

If I were going to intentionally slow play, I would play as rep casher as I used to a couple of years ago. Back then, I was all-x slow player. 360 (360) is tough on other strategies where dependent upon sell of goods.
