Mob did you survive the rain?

We had some flooding down here, some neighborhoods had cars in the drive way under water.
we managed to get about 6 inchs of water in the house, but now its dry with everything receding.

yeah but now you have to worry about moldy drywall.

I was talking to m0b, he said he was doing the sandbag thing again to try n keep the water out and so far so good. I think it's still raining there tho.

Yea he is all good as of this morning anyway.

We did the sand bag deal. fluff came up from under the floor in a corner of my Dining room. Never breached the sandbags though. Receded all today, and now getting hit by another run of rain.

It's gonna be a long fight for Texas. High pressure is keeping the storm in place, likely for the next 48 hrs. Will dump 50 inches of rain (an annual amount) as harvey tracks north east and dies out over the next week.

The area has many earth dams that are not designed to have water spill over them. Forcing operators to release water in already flooded areas. Going to be a very different disaster if those fail.
Harris county emergency services communications are shut down making it difficult to dispatch personnel to calls of service.
Good luck Texans, the next week is gonna be a whore. Lots of folks are gonna be homeless.

Guns have been loaded now for the past couple of days. Had some looting in our area start the day of the Hurricane, which resulted in the guy getting shot.

Besides a long road for us, it will be a long road for the country as most of the refineries are located on the gulf coast.
