iMag says this a lot, to pretty much every FA or clan head out there. At some point, we have to draw the conclusion, they are the common denominator, not everyone else.

Apparently in iMag's playbook, a topfeed is when you have a lower NW than the country you're hitting. Even though netgaining formulas favor when a country has as close to the same NW as possible. They don't believe topfeeding is when the land difference before a hit is significantly different, such as this:

Edit: And before we hear the "your guy should have proper defense" excuse, it's called netgaining. Either way it's a topfeed. You should probably update your policy to the formulas that exist in EE rather than basing them off E2025's old formulas.

That's your member with 12120 acres hitting our member with 20,240... that's 169% more land. Obviously a topfeed (right?). We took 2 retals as L:L, but you came and moaned about it... so we let you take 1 more hit. Our guy ended up losing land on the exchange.

This is exactly what's happened in this incident as well. Our guy hit your guy who had more land, your guy took 2 retals, our guy took 1 back. Your guy ended up losing land on the exchange.

Obviously, you have no more right to L:L than we did... and since we didn't get it, you shouldn't either. Yet the way you were speaking when you came to complain about this incident made it seem like you believed that L:L actually took place between us previously. It didn't, and the only reason I can think of why you wouldn't have realized that is an inability to read the news.

Soviet said the hit by #235 was a topfeed because of NW, not because of land.

And I'll let you take a guess as to why we decided to enforce L:L on topfeeds. We have been cool with 1:1 retals for the past I don't even know how many continuous sets. Surely there would be topfeeds here and there, but we lost some, they lost some. Nobody complained or attempted to enforce it against us, so we didn't do it against them.

You guys brought the topfeeding issue up recently, so we will be enforcing it as well. That's what it boils down to. It doesn't bother me, just as long as you guys realize it does work both ways, scooter.

Thomas, #235 had lower land and lower NW. We did indeed want L:L on him, but we decided to back down and chose not to enforce it because you guys asked for the retal.

It's true that we "brought up" L:L in discussions with you guys over that hit, but you denied it. The same principle ought to apply here. The mere fact that we asked for L:L does not mean that you are now entitled to get it under identical circumstances.

How is that difficult to understand?

If you say you're okay with it working both ways, it should actually work both ways. We didn't get L:L, so you shouldn't get L:L.

well foog since you have no clue if you checked exact networths at the time of 235's grab on zarcon made me you would notice that there was only 100k NW differential when the grab was made, but apparently its to difficult to not just look at playtime nw changes. an 8k difference is land is a lot different than a 18k land difference

I brought up NW because that's what I thought you meant by topfeeding. A lower NW hitting a higher NW doesn't yield the same results it used to in E2025. Which is why I said his NW wasn't even within 10%, so his results weren't going to be all that hot.

Once you brought up the land difference and called that a topfeed, you already told us to take 1 retal. So I'm not going to just pass on it. I came away from the conversation feeling as though topfeeding would be handled differently, since you guys retalled again because of it etc etc.

I have no problem coming to an agreement, where from this point forward all hits where the defending country had +25% more land before the hit can be retalled 2:1 or L:L. Work for you?
