While I understand the principals of why they earn a lot of money, no, I don't believe they should. Capitalism rewards the attractive and greedy people.

Well actually, I agree. My country name does sum it up best. You can kill me, over and over and over, but I'm not gonna quit. Just because some losers over in SoL with a chip on their shoulder decided to wage a completely unequal war, isn't really worth registering to me.

You've accomplished fluff, basically. You've gained no respect, and probably lost some, in fact, in that you had to pact everyone else out to avoid getting your asses collectively handed to you, like last set. All to attack a small netting clan.

Oorah!

I ordered a game two days ago, and it has just shipped today, but I decided I don't want it anymore. (Call me impulsive.) Anyway, I went to the return items thing, and it doesn't really give options to just cancel it, only different ways of returning it, like UPS drop-off and UPS pick-up. Is there anyone to just cancel it before it even gets here?

I was thinking probably money and/or bushels, as those would most likely be looted in times of war. I would say to the person who gets the kill, although, like I said, this would probably be a feeding frenzy for cherrypickers. But, like I also said, maybe make diminished returns as an incentive to let your friends get the kill.

I know it's been floated before, but has any thought been given to giving some of the NW of the deceased country to the person who killed it? I know cherry-pickers would be annoying, but maybe there'd be DR or something?

It'd give more valid reasons for war, at least.

Rick has a good idea in theory, except that everyone would have to get lots of turns. You wouldn't be able to organize everyone so easily, and you'd need at least some form of leadership, without lots of turns.

At the same time though, if you could get the kinks all worked out, that'd be pretty fun.

Well Slag, you can't really blame them for recruiting, especially outside the game, but being butthurt because you got gangbanged is just a really immature reason to war someone. It would make sense if you were a small clan trying to get respect, but I mean, coming from such an old alliance, it's just kind of funny.

martian: I know what you are and who you do :P And I have eyes, I saw last set's war, and I saw SoF and SoL working together.

Furthermore, I'm not advocating any special treatment for Evo or anyone else, I'm saying that qz is already busy with his thesis and whatnot, and Slag does a hell of a lot for Evo during wars, so it would seem to reason that part of the time they spend focusing on that might be better used by focusing on the game.

Furthermoreness, I've never particularly liked SoL, although I never had a personal reason before this set. It's just the icing on the cake, which of course, is a lie.

Wow, talk about a few people hijacking a thread. TERRORISTS!

War is not terrorism. Was is an official thing, to gain something, be it freedom, land, money, etc. Terrorism gains nothing but fear and intimidation.

And furthermore, I think the way we live nowadays makes us susceptible to things like terrorism. We have a lot of time to just sit around worrying, and we don't want to lose the progress we've made thus far. I'd say taking someone's cell phone away could be called terrorism, most people would fear for their lives without one. :P

Martian: qz and slag and leaders in evo, and I would have to say focusing on not only their RL but also a war against a bunch of asshats like SoL probably takes a bit of time out of their focus on game development.

Also, SoF is policing for SoL, and we fought them last set, which is why I was referring to them. They have been butt buddies for most of EE's existence.

The more wars the admins have to focus on the less time they have to work on the game, unless that's what SoL and SoF and the like want. They seem to want to drag on pointless conflicts for the sake of having conflicts.

Eric pretty much got what I was gonna say. Even 9/11 was a successful use of terrorism, not in the sense that they killed a thousand people, but in that they got the entire country frightened. They pretty much made the US classify terrorism as any other race doing something suspicious, which hurts us in the long run.

Seriously though. Maybe it's just my town, but kids these days don't seem too bright.

And it really is a moot point, Forgotten, because while weed may make you a bit dopey, alcohol kills your brain cells right out, and your liver, and pretty much your whole body. And it's perfectly legal.

Like the positive attitude, Cris, but like I said before, when the people who've played this game for a long time started, text-based games were bigger because internet speeds were slower. There might still be a market for them, but it's probably a lot smaller. People nowadays don't like having to think or read stuff.

There could be a market in countries where internet speeds are still slow as hell.
