Top-feeding is a none issue with the new formula for gains, rewarding mid-feeds, giving a heavy penalty to top-feeding and making bottom-feeders untouchable.

Also rename it "Attrition" or the like, so 70% Readiness equals 30% attrition.

Full effect when attacking, half effect when defending.
Makes the whole concept easier to understand, especially for the new players.

Not once you've ground down the defences it didn't.
Changed when the LG-formula was altered to reward mid-feeding and punish top-feeds (while incidentally premièring bottom-feeders by making sure smaller countries can't do jack) it happened.

By counting like Swords, NOW3P...only the number of tags are of importance :p
Too bad Bahzel isn't here to explain the finer details of it...he was always a good one spouting hot air in the desert hehehe

Anyway, SoF was tag-killed since they didn't have a single country alive out of protection between this morning and the IMP FS :)

This far:
IMP says no
LaE says allowed but not encouraged
FoCuS says no
PANLV says no?
ESD says no
Has to be more clans out there!
Have to say the bias seems to lean towards "no" though.

You recall MPE in 1a?
What I described happened there several sets.

A couple of tags took turns hitting the top countries, then the other tags would nail the retallers. Within a week or two, the retal capacity was gone, and the original hitters could farm at leisure meaning they got a couple of brutal retals early on in order to ensure a steady landflow later in the set.

Of course, they did offer pacts, but not until the damage was irrevocable, and first after they've gotten back the acres lost to retals with a rather steep interest.

Retals are not to be retalled anyway, are they, Despie?
That means they aren't in the equation for reverse two-stepping (probably more known as stripping the land before hitting :p)

Killtargets? Eh... You landgrab killtargets??? Thought you just farmed whatever you could from them before the acres are wasted lol

Cripp, if you check the news for SOTA, it's the same story there.
Obviously though, there are very few clans able to toe to toe with LaE, which basicly mean my original statement stands:
"The question at hand is to establish if there has been a change in attitude and policy towards twostepping or not."

Untagged countries never had much of a right other than to give up their land :p
The real difference is that in the old-style FFA, the untagged you just had a go at might be one of some 150 run by the same player, and said player just might have taken offence and make you pay for it.

Still, the issue at hand is twostepping.

MrCobalt, whether you twostep untagged or tagged countries is totally beside the point.
The question at hand is to establish if there has been a change in attitude and policy towards twostepping or not.

In this case it was LaE, but what I'm interested in the server policy regarding the scheme as it's intended to circumvent the retal-system.

Just to illustrate what twostepping is:

Manchester United (#2486) grabs a bunch of countries.

Mr Cobalt (#2476) then farms Manchester United (#2486) before any retals can be done, ensuring that not only Manchester United (#2486) will be heavy into DR, but also that there aren't any land to regain.

In the old FFA, this wouldn't just not be tolerated, it was cause for immediate killing of all countries involved, without the need for FA-contacts beforehand.

However, this isn't the old FFA, wherefore I'm asking for the general opinion in the current server regarding this.

"1. Protecting our netters from being grabbed. Gotta tell you. This is weaksauce."

Well, you have to consider the saturation-factor as well.
Since you only can take so many retals per day, you need to make sure your clan isn't simply over-whelmed by the sheer amount needed.

Well, the normal practice was to farm-kill all involved countries as soon as it was discovered, no FA-contacts needed.
Since my resources are somewhat...limited for the time being, I settled for delivering a little message instead ;)

Just informational really :)

Two-stepping is an unacceptable practice for which the countries Box of Crayons (#2542) and 000 (#2543) will be killed.

You may want to inform your member that if any of the other countries he uses show up in my news again, they too will be killed.
