I think LaF is driving down participation more from people like me, who enjoy the game and are in a tag with good protection but don't have the time to find the 5 nonpacted countries on the server before laf farms them down to 10A/hit. Smaller tags just need to go all commie for a few sets and earn some respect.
Although, to say pacting with laf will stop them from trying to farm you is obviously a joke.
H4, stop with the "two hits" BS, you know that never is actually observed.
As far as I've checked it out, the number of users of Earth Empires is roughly constant. The number of players on the alliance server is declining. For the most part, alliance leaders simply don't care to grow their alliances or even make the server fun to play.
This. Llaar recruits like mad, and we try to keep it fin for our players, but there's not enough non-pacted/farmed players on alliance to make it fun.
I got the free 20 acres the first time I logged in. I didn't think too much of it at first, until my startup didn't work out right. I couldn't explore when I normally would have and was forced to build some farms. Maybe don't award this on the first login?
SS, that's because you have to talk back to your trainers to get feedback. We all remember you as "the recruit who said he was too good and quit before the set was started."
OGT, you are really bitter. I/NE never claimed to be awesome, just in it for the fun.
CK, of course we ruined your finish. We are at war. Thank #54 for starting it. :)
Honestly, at the beginning of the set, we were going to war oop, I was a tyr tech on 3k acres for waaaaaaayyyyy too long. It just didn't work out early and we decided to hit you guys (cuz it was fun) over basically nothing. Too bad if you don't like it I guess, don't hit teams that can retal.
As far as us not being able to net, we've had a #1 finish, a t10 in all but two sets here, and two #2 anw finishes. I'd say we're OK.
We plan to net this set, if you wanna come after us fine, but we won't be looking for an excuse.
Yeah, I agree with RD, I told skywise he was gonna die.
Unfortunately, the downtime and the scarcity of oil are making this conflict extremely uninteresting. Sorry we didn't get to really throw down, Sanct. :(
Charles - we wanted to war early, couldn't get it right, decided to net for a while, then you gave us an excuse. I don't care who the bad guy is, we got a little bit of action. ;P
On the alliance server, my private market is not repleneshing, and my goods are not reaching the market (put them on 11 hours ago). My "time since last login" is totally wacked. On team server, attacking is leading to several error strings in advance of my success or failure message. Unit loss is not matching up with what it says I'm losing. Also, unit display is not in whole numbers on the "war room" page.
You hit us, we retalled, we land traded a bit, you whined, so we stopped. Then you started again. You outnumber us a lot, but we don't care. We are going to damage you a lot. Thanks, smooches, NE.
My wife was standing behind me when I came to the site. I said "whoa, that's not what this is supposed to look like." She said "apparently it is." I like it.
C'mon ViLSE, that's a low blow. We didn't have any countries big enough to aid him when he had 50M net. He just had a beast of a set. I will get fatter this set so I can actually be a netting threat.
Congrats to DBD for beating us (handily) for the top TNW slot. We are getting some folks back though, so a little re-organization and a more aggressive set from me means you will need to do better to beat us this time. :)
I predicted we wouldn't hang on, Vilse, what are you talking about speculating too early? We were all in the top ten at the same time though, so that was cool.
archaic - again, I speculated it would be someone other than us. Someone with lots of land. We are pretty thin.
Ignore the majority of these asshats. You have done a fine job of keeping this game going. The silent majority truly appreciate your efforts. You don't owe us explanations for changing the code midgame, and it's not up to you to keep SoL from cheating. You don't owe us objectivity in politics within the game - you saved it so you could be players! You don't owe us even the opportunity to play, but you've given it to us anyway. You are doing a remarkable, commendable job staying on top of things, deleting blatant multirunners, doing your best to fix things when you make mistakes, keeping us all in the loop and continually soliciting (and actually accepting) feedback. Well done.
Now, if you could just fix my BC site for the team server all would be well. ;P
