Remove the cap altogether but let earthquakes eat a lot of cash and turn corruption rates into a higher log progressive tax rate. That way, we would have to figure out the best balance of cash/food stock and timing. Those that solve it first - win.

I am sure that if they decide to do it, it would be implemented with some thought, i.e. only allowing 25% of your bushels on the market at a time or slowing the private market recharge so that destocking is a longer process.

The point is, set after set the formulas are the same and most of the artistry has been removed from netgaining. Thats why I would like to see the production formulas randomized a bit so that nobody knew exactly what they were dealing with until a few days into the set.

Dave could become the 'external market force' on the economy, randomly moving the benefits around from set to set. I bet a +/- 10% randomizing factor would not even be that hard to write into the game.

I agree with what eric said that devaluing farmers would tend to bias against war tags.

Also, as it stands, the inefficiency inherent in destocking penalizes cashers. With the ability to hoard cash cashing would become a much more efficient netting strat. Sure, hoarding cash is risky, but a casher that slips through the cracks with his hoard intact is likely to be a jauggernaut.

The devaluing of food would also drive many farmers into teching (especially among war tags) which would lower tech prices and remove the other major check/ballance against cashers - the need to buy twice as much tech as farmers.

Right now, earth is a bushel based economy, deregulating cash will likely change that. On the upside, there is no reason not to play around with it for a set and see what happens. Who knows what could happen, all that cash may drive mil prices up and suddenly the commie-indy is a viable strat again. Go for it I say.

I think the 2B bug should be randomly altered each set.

;p

Actually though, I have said for years that the food-cash-indy-tech-oil production formulas should be tweaked (just a few percent) each set to help spread the wealth a bit. The best netters would still usually end up on top, but robotically following the herd would not guarantee a top 50 finish anymore.

On-ramps are for getting onto the interstate, people go fast on the interstate, you should probably look for a merging opportunity while still on the ramp, you should try to approximate interstate speed while traversing the ramp, on-ramps are NOT for abruptly stopping and trying to figure all of this out.

All of the right of way rules are clearly laid out in your drivers handbook: follow them, they are there for a reason. Please do not yield the right of way to be nice to somebody, even (especially) if that somebody is me. The rest of us are not mind readers and your kindness is as likely to get me killed as it is to save me 10 seconds.

If you can read the fine print on my license plate and you are not an astronaut or super hero - you will be getting a healthy dose of my brake lights VERY soon.

Those things on the side of your car, right in front of the windows, those are called mirrors. Use them, they are 10 trillion times more useful then the thing hanging from your windsheild that is pretending to be a mirror.

If it is too big for you to successfully park within the confines of a regular parking space on the VERY FIRST attempt, sell it and buy something you can park.

If you pass me 18 times on a 50 mile stretch of road, please understand that its not ME that is speeding up, answering the phone and slowing down, then speeding up, then slowing down, then spe- oh you get the fluffing point. Most new cars have cruise control, I use mine - learn to use yours or at glance at your speedometer occasionally.

MKR officially introduces the 72 day retal window. Please have your FA notify us of the country number of all players that have hit us within the last 2 sets so we can schedule a retal at our convenience. Advance notification of planned strat switched, destocking schedules, or baych explores would also be appreciated. Thanks you for your support.

ICN has way more chicks then the LaF snake pit. We have a pretty good mix of war and netting. Not too many hardcore netters for you to get lost among - but enough to give you some in house competition and some attention from leadership.

If not ICN, then LCN is a pretty stable house with good people.

As far as we are concerned MKR and MKR2 are seperate entities sharing boxcar resources. However, we do consider one-another to be similar to what used to be an FDP. So, in a time of war, or to deal with agregeous suiciding, we reserve the right to call in allies for aid. Obviously we reserve the right to police or be policed for by any ally upon request and public notification.

To date that has not been required and we do not anticipate that it would, but we reserve the right to kill off h4's suiciding affiliates as a unit if needed.

For ordinary retals, it will never be considered again.

CROSS RETALING IS GONE.

I don't think the team server is ruined, it is just a pretty limited scope application. '5' implies friends - but not too many friends. Right now it is too easy to ruin a tags set on the team server with a pretty minimal effort.

I don't want to see 1A come back, once RD left all the land went with them - during the last few sets, 1A was getting pretty scrawny. If anything, I think they should consider scaling the game back to 2-3 servers. The extra servers = extra confusion and not much increase in user base.

It was a good one though, I remember waaaay back when I started playing. I was at Marshall U and played in the COS computer lab with about 10-15 other MU players. We all played primary and got into a war with a bunch of guys from Virginia Tech. We all had 'herd' or 'hokie' or some derivation in our country names because there were no tags. We did not know how to kill (not sure you even could in 97), we all ran rainbows, and it was the most fun I ever had playing this game.

Even today, I think kids would jump that fluff in a heartbeat.

Remember, farmville and mafia wars have no graphics either. We are not competing against HALO here, all we really need to do is get the product in front of enough eyes. My concern is that the game may be too complex for casual users.

Forgotten, that goes both ways.

The consequences of our bad foreign policy was that we got obliterated last set and lost half our members. We did not bring it across the set, you did. This is the second time Pangea has referenced the 'war plans this set',
so our defeat last set and captitulation this set was not sufficient to avert the war? So be it.

The patronizing pointing out of a typo was a nice touch.

Niether of the 2 MKR tags (MKR and MKR2) will be cross retalling this set. Period, you won - we lost, we are not going to cross retal. Clear enough for you?

We do, however, reserve the right to call in allies (including but not limited to the other MKR tags) to kill suiciders.

Attacks/Retals are as follows:
1/1
2/3
3/5
4/farm
5+/farm or kill

ROR will be 2/1, second ROR will be farm-kill

So, the question is, are we going to honor the retal polices of tags that don't bother to post them? As that seems to be the standard we are being held to, I am assuming that is the new server policy - correct?

I wish Pan could figure out a way to get the rights to the name 'Earth 2025' in the marketing plan. At one time or another there have probably been several hundred thousand people who have played the game. This thing COULD have a lot of inertia if the chips fell right.
