was born and raised in st louis county.
first none of these so called EXPERTS know crap about st. louis. first there is a city and county of st. louis. the county has over 60 incorporated areas, and there are large areas of non incorporated. we were community activists there till we left in 2000.
Ferguson was at one time a upper end place to live where ppl who worked at mc donald douglas, and the car plants lived. the biz left the neighborhoods went downhill. there is some awesome ppl there and there are fricken gang bangers as well.
the gangs from the north county hit other areas in groups. last time down we stayed at the very south end of st louis county and our 14 yr old truck got broke into two nights in a row. the cops stated they do a call out all officers to handle it.
I do hate seeing HATE statements coming out tho. I learned in the service its not the color of a person but their character. we knew that our asses were covered by our brothers in arms. Ive seen as many derelict white and off white as well.
the county police have not had a raise in many many years, so we were part of a group to get the county police accredited. only two groups have that distinction in missouri the MHP and the county police. If the ferguson police would have asked for the major case squad and not the riot squads things would not even be on the news.
I think it was more of two bad asses meeting up, one got killed. there will be a class action suit im sure.
My daughter called me last night, she lives in very south county not even near ferguson. she stated they are now pulling over ppl on the roads late at night using an excuse you were weaving to check ppl out. daughter works for the st louis post dispatch paper and gets off at two am. she has been grilled multiple times and is getting pissed off about it.
no Obama had nothing to do with this, this is local politics and police. Thats the problem with the USA too many ppl watching faux news (fox) and being brainwashed. we need a program that has both sides and then a fact checking crew to verify or say the speaker is full of BS. I see too many statements on tv that are totally false, but hey networks do not care, they want the HYPE and FLASH. in the old days the news dept was just that the news. Now its all about profit, even the news department must follow this rule.
Me, I come to play this game to get away from real life,
politics now a days is all about money and control. only 64 ppl gave 90% of the billions spent this last election. When our founding fathers set this place up, NO company or group was allowed to influence ppl and their votes. think the supreme court blows. instead of interpreting the laws, they are picked due to their own beliefs, which I think really sucks.
how to change this/ fricken VOTE! too many ppl died so that we had that privilege and what 38% only voted last time. we are the last industrial country to have health care which is so sad. all my life (im 67), and saw ppl work their asses off to get a good living, they get sick and due to medical bills loose everything.
