I'll be outta work for a while, and I'm bored already, so I thought I'd share.

Bout a month ago one of my buddies bought a 2019 RZR 1000 Turbo. Thing is fun as fluff. We took it out for the third time sunday and it didnt go well.

3rd run of the day, he was driving, I was in the passenger seat. Front right wheel hit a bump and flipped us around and rolled us.

The safety harness and helmets worked perfectly. Unfortunately there was something very sharp on the passenger door that caught my knee.

BRUTAL!!! That's a pretty solid gash dude. Sounds like it was well earned. Great job. Bet you was laughing hard as hell until you saw it too. Haha. Awesome. Congrats on the battle scars.

I played a wedding on the nc/virginia border this weekend. Worked 12 hours Thursday, busted for Virginia at 4am for a 10 hour drive, was a groomsman, played for two hours, got drunk, slept it off for 4 hours, drove home saturday and worked another 14 hours on Sunday. Looks like you had more fun than me hahaha

Well, I surely didnt notice the pain at first because of the adrenaline rush of rolling it.

I struggled to get out of the 5 point harness and thought I was fine. Went to help my buddy roll the thing back over and my knee felt weird. Noticed a little cut in my jeans and thought it was weird. Looked inside the cut and saw white. WTF? Then it hit me. That was my kneecap. I immediately sat down and told my buddy to call our girls and to alert the trail staff. Great responce too. I was at the first aid station within 5 min getting wrapped up, and the hospital within 30 min.

Damn, that sucks, but glad you are around to joke about it a bit. Could have been worse if an artery got hit or the saftey equipment didn't work.

That is nuts. I am glad you are ok and actually went to the hospital. Cuts like that can get infected quick and can be deadly.

My weekend consisted of a 3 hr drive to a campground with the Datsun club to Eastern Oregon and a glorious 3 day weekend of car show and boat drag racing....no legs were harmed, well unless mosquito bites count lol.

nope. my left leg is folded under my right led in the pic. kinda half indian style.

after the pic I used my left leg to lift my right leg ontop of the helmet for elevation and shock prevention.

Initially I thought it was the phone dry box, as it was shattered and pretty sharp. But it didn't make much sense as it is mounted in the center of the vehicle near my left knee. Me and my neighbor were looking the RZR over yesterday and found an exposed metal bracket on the passenger door that was extremely sharp. Seems the likely culprit. Seems like a bad design by polaris. All the safety devices worked well during a fairly serious roll, and the only injury was a laceration from a door hinge.

Already got knee pads in the mail for the next time we take her out! lol

I was wondering where the hell your other leg is! But then I read. I just had another major surgery on my foot/ankle like 8 years ago. I am joining you in not being able to do anything. Thank goodness for pain meds!

If you consider having a blast in a $25,000 dollar, 180hp, 1500lb top of the line ATV dumb, then I dont wanna be smart lol.

To each their own. I prefer to get out and do stuff while I'm still young and able.

fluff happens. I'll survive. Other than this freak accident with the sharp edge, this model of ATV has a ton of safety features. There is a saying in off roading ATV circles. With age comes a cage. And it worked remarkably well.

Hell yes chess, doing the math apparently I average more than 30 minutes a day playing chess in the last year. Makes me really think about how bad I still am.
