i've seen generations (troi crashes enterprise, fine example that women can't drive :P) and first contact (borgs invade earth and picard et co goto past to ensure that it won't happen).

Hmm. I put my money on star wars over star trek. For fleet actions at any rate. I feel any Mon cal cruiser or imo star destroyer is more than a match for several fed ships, whilst having the added bonus of fighter craft on board. Being able to throw an extra 50 tie fighters or x/y/a wings into the mix certainly turns the tide. Think cloud of targets. Plus y wings have ion cannon, disrupting the systems of enemy ships.

many sw ships can land on planet so those can't be that "fancy".

not all are sw ships. nor are all of them federation ships. the biggest and the one on the bottom with the white nose are warhammer 40k imperial warships. thus the comment Imperium of man :p

yea big starcruisers/destroyers/whatever in sw can't land on planet and in st its mostly shuttles which land on planet (transpoorter made ships landing on planet bit obsolete).

For the Emperor! Seriously though, Warhammer 40k pwns everything in this thread. A single battlecruiser has the firepower of entire star wars or star trek fleets. They're not even the most powerful class of ship out there, they're somewhere in the middle and every (smallish) fleet has dozens of them along with hundreds of destroyers (that smaller version of it in that picture which is as big as a Star Destroyer, though that might actually be a frigate...). Even with the tens of thousands of warships capable of annihilating entire planets floating around in the Imperium of Man, it's still barely enough to hold off Mankind's enemies. SW/ST are pussies in comparison.
