I did it as a courtesy Heston because, like you, I really really hate jailhouse lawyers. :) My job has some connection to the law and it always amazes me when I read the weird stuff that people believe (and repeat!) about the criminal justice system.

my roomate got DUII for marijuana in Oregon and they proved it with a blood test. He had a quarter ounce on him but had a medical card so he didn't get charged with posession. Not sure about Colorado but Washington state administers a blood test if they suspect that you're high. sorry if this was already covered.
