Now, I don't know how far this story reaches but here's a little background

Zahra Baker was a young girl, maybe 10 years old, who was a native Australian. Her dad and stepmother live in Hickory, NC. About 1 hour from where I grew up.

Zahra was a bone cancer survivor, but not before she had to have a limb amputation. Apparently, her deranged stepmother was extremely abusive and she was taken out of school to hide her bruises.

Well about a month ago, she went missing. Her biological mother was flown in from Australia, her stepmother jailed for lying (she wrote a fake ransom note for zahra), and father jailed on unrelated charges.

A month long manhunt ensued, and a few days ago a bone was found. Today the DNA from that bone was linked to zahra baker. This little girl is dead, murdered. The bone that was found had cut marks on it indicating that she was dismembered.

For all of you out there who do not believe in the death penalty, I want you to look at this picture

the evil in this world is at times overwhelming, and I hope whoever had any part in this tragedy is brough to a harsh, and swift, justice.

Her limb amputation was a leg. Apparently they found her prosthetic in the city dump about a week ago

pretty crazy, while reading this, a news story about the same thing came on the radio
there are definitely some twisted people in the world

Man made laws and concepts of "justice" have screwed our development as a species.

This evil that exists practically everywhere in the world is a product of our advanced civilization of law, order and science.

The alternative could be just as frightening :S

mmm it's just population.... with a bigger population and more access to media, you hear about these things more...

That doesn't make it any less horrible though that these things happen at all.

It's a shame people do such things, too bad. well hope whoever did it gets just punishment..

They found more of her bones 15 miles from the other bones. I swear the step mother is the main culprit to this. The father is the next. And I hope they castrate him for fluffing with his daughter, and well the step mom deserves to sit and rot in the prison until she dies. And yes the other ladies in prison will "take care of her". Child killers are not welcome there either.
Matter of fact if it comes to light in the jail that she is in that she murdered that little girl. They will have to move that hooker to ad seg.
