For whatever it is worth, cx has never been guilty in the sets I played with him. He and I have been chatting recently and he has shared some details of his set with me as it unfolded. Based on the market conditions as I understand them it sounds feasible.

That`s why i tell people not to associate with this type of character. At a point you`ll do fluff without even realizing you are doing it ( if you are a new player ).

Gave this a second tought after some private message ( impressive) from Hammer. Realized sometimes there are more important things than just this stupid game and it`s market.

I suppose all of as are ( Few or More ) grown ups. This type of discussion should not happen - and people should play the game as it is.

And regarding my deep hate for some players ( or better said some alliances from 1A ), it is true i do have some. It is also true that some players with ill character made people ( or sometimes entire alliances ) leave the game because of permanent cheating in the past. I have a great amount of lack of respect for whomever was part of that fluff - and i do hold grudges for that, for like ever, even if it is just a stupid game. It`s the way i play this game ...

So don`t blame me entirely when i go "ALL IN" when i spot this kind of stuff.

Well I played techer and was watching the market pretty closely. There were indeed fluctuations which a demo camping the market could take advantage of, and the change which allows goods to be put on the market for two hours helps. But what there was not is volume. There just aren't enough players.

So granted this guy's history you can put me in the suspicious camp.

i think that CX runs oilers and farmers every round and sells cheaper goods. This round he decided not to have them run and there was a shortage of food and oil. :-P seriously, who, as a good top 10 player, ever runs an oiler country? i know i never have! it is also incredibly difficult to have a farmer go consistant top 10, i tried it once and failed miserably.

I've never run an oiler. And it's not incredibly difficult to top 10 a farmer every set. I've done it 5 straight sets w/ very little effort.

i think a lot of it has to do with your play style. I also have had success with farmers along with cashers but i didn't have a lot of luck teching.

Yep. It becomes very easy to do well w/ a farmer when you run on very low military until 10kA. :P

Being able to achieve a high finish does not demonstrate that you are not a cheat. If anything it is a point against you.

I do not really know how you can meet the allegation: perhaps you could add your voice to Alin's in asking that the admin look at your result this set; you give some figures for your trading, if they are based on records that you kept perhaps you could publish them; and/or perhaps you could try to distance yourself from your RD past.

Some context though - I moved ~3.5m oil on Friday and Saturday for an avg gain of ~$103/barrel. Do the math.

I resold ~14m units Sunday for an avg gain of $25/unit. That's not including the ~2-3m units I flipped Saturday for a similar return.

Tech? ~300k points @ approximately a ~$550 gain/point - the 500m in a previous post was a typo - shouldve been 200m.

Food? Well, I dropped... let's see... 12m @ 53 & 20m @ 57 on Sunday + an extra 30m at an adjusted cost base of ~49. Thats 3.25b cash + the 1.7b I had on hand... + reselling benefits... 1b? I guess a tad lower than I estimated before. So ~5.95b stock total @ ~$240/NW destock = 24.8m NW + 6.6m Im pretty sure I had going into Sunday = 31.4m

Once a shadow is cast on your reputation its pretty hard to get rid of it, especially when you keep on bragging and denying the past, or saying you don't care about your reputation, when an honourable player would confess and apologize for being such a fluffhead.

I played a new strategy last week and gave it another try this week - doubling last week's score and finishing in top 10. I should probably be investigated, too, because I clearly admitted on at least two threads that I didn't know what in the hell I was doing.

This reminds me of football when the losing team gets pissed at the winning team for scoring too many points. It is not the winning team's place to stop scoring, but the losing team's place to play better defense. Same for us here. Instead of being critical of those who win, we need to raise our game. Hell, out cheat the cheater if that is what the winner is doing.

Also as in sports, especially in auto sports, a team or driver is disliked if they win too much, and they are disliked if they lose too much. That is seen often here. How many times are noobs criticized for being noobs? How much grief was Celphi, or whatever his name was, given for asking questions in his quest to play differently than the norm?

In the year-plus I have been playing, I have seen several different players get flamed. When I figure out how to win, and do it consistently enough that people are asking me to explain myself, it won't happen. I don't explain myself in the real world. CX, ebert, h2o, Alin, others, are crazy, IMO, to spend the time they do explaining their scores when challenged.

Time is key in express. You wanna hit 30 million? Sit at your computer/phone for countless hours. I could be mistaken. I was pretty happy with tenth considering I got grabbed a few times and had to convert from all explore mode to attacking with limited time.

I usually don`t have anything against usual members ( like the one i am ). Those don`t always know the underground of things. Except if they are from the defunct RD, someone knows what he`s "buying" when he joins RD, in the first place.

However, that is not valid against retards like ssewellusmc . Or against people that are guided by cheating like mrford, and instead of finding a place that suits what they pretend to be "their good morals" they try to defend the cheating act of their leaders and/or other players on other servers (this thread example).
