So I hit this bot name country multiple times, then I get a message back threatening retals, so I'm thinking either bots have become self aware or is this a suicider luring me into breaking GDI so they can start with spy ops / ABs / missiles? I'm wondering whether I should just go all out to crush them now?

It sucks, but you made the mistake. Some players use bot names to lure players and get retals. What gov is the country? That could tell you something about it's intentions.

Just suck up the retals and move on.

This guy is a democracy so it doesn't make a lot of sense...has about 100 plastic turrets and a pop gun so I'm not too worried

So the 'bot' finally made their move which hasn't gone too well for them so far. Got a bizzare message saying that from now on they are going to destroy ANY countries who attack bots - I think we have a bot rights fanatic here...

Truth! Anyone who farms a bot at any point in a given set and doesnt hit players will be entered into the quick death sweepstakes. The winner (or maybe more) will get killed or I'll wreck a handful of bot hitters.

This is due to sfbob being a mormon and not accepting rightful retals because he can't tell the difference between a bot and a player.

I generally agree farming bots gets the game boring, repitative, predictable. Should be more human interaction to keep it challanging. Disguising as a bot name sounds like an idea to have some fun.

Careful Chutya - playing in any manner other than approved by the gifted few will make your name mud in this game.

Can anybody confirm the following characteristics still apply to bots:
They have 240 CS or their equivalent adjusting for govt.type when built up
Funny names from fictional worlds
Dont retal,attack
Have no oil except when fascist rainbow/oiler
In the begining no jets. Light Defense.
No turns unplayed at logout seen on spy report

Have the Devs changed the last one for bots? I swear I saw a country this set with all the characteristics except the last one. I sent him a message asking are u a bot or a human? No reply. People kept farming him all set no attack or retal. And same predictable game play. All things indicating he is a bot but not 0 turns left on spy report. Its possible I got the spy report in at exactly the very second he was playing but thats very unlikely. So can any1 confirm if mods have made any changes with the bots on the last criteria?

Come to think of it Devs should, when they have time, randomly change some bot characteristics unannounced to keep people guessing and make it interesting. But its gonna have the "I wanna net in an artificial enviornment with no human interference to farm bots with predictability all day long" group up in arms. This prolly belongs in strategy, ideas/suggestion forums but wanna hear what you guys think.

Someone's doing this again this set, hit him 3 times before he had made any attacks on Friday.. Ate 10 missiles from him on sunday, woot.

Its not me. But I am just thinking from their point of view. If they protest the direction a few are taking this game where its just bots and bot farmers left in this game on the express server, then its the only sound choice they have to be heard. Given the GDI and game mechanics.

Personally, I m gonna be netting for forseable future so this is hurtful to my objectives. But I think this could be good for the game.

It's fine with me. I try to check each bot twice before hitting. It will likely get you killed tho buddy :).

maybe I should start playing again to put the bots into DR, well the non GDI ones.
