We have expanded and updated the FFA "control" system to give players access to additional information and to simplify and streamline repetitive ingame tasks. The new system isn't quite complete yet, but it will be available to all players very soon. We ask for your help in reporting any bugs that you find.

Since it will be possible to perform certain ingame actions without logging into each country, the 12 hour and 18 hour bonus turn timers have become a pointless exercise in bookkeeping and will be removed.

The new interface will make stonewalling easier, but that seems like a small price to pay for the added convenience and ease of play. Besides, stonewalling is already rather difficult on this server.

We also made a few FFA specific changes to simplify things and to stop certain forms of abuse. This set of FFA will see the following gameplay changes:
-Countries will no longer receive the 3 or 6 turn bonuses for remaining logged out.
-Ingame alliances between two countries owned by the same player can be cancelled immediately with no 72 hour wait.
-As a result of the above change, two countries owned by the same player can FA each other without sharing an ingame alliance.
-Players who wish to enter vacation mode must put all of their countries in vacation mode. In addition, they cannot create additional countries while in vacation mode. To leave vacation mode, all countries must leave it.
-The bushel price changed announced here will apply to FFA: http://forums.earthempires.com/Forum.php?threadid=8508

I just dont like that you can purchase market goods without logging in. I think that if you do choose to purchase market good from the control page it should show that you have logged in. In the event someone is in a kill run you will have to guess if they are on or not if they can do that without logging in.


and as for showing you have logged in it shouldn't hurt anybody as there wont be bonus turns to lose.

mdevol: that may be changed in the future. There are currently technical obstacles that prevent it from working like that.

Have I mentioned how refreshing it is to play this game with people in charge of trying to improve it on a continual basis? I came from the old school where when something needed to be changed people would scream 'Mehul!' at the top of their lungs until they couldn't scream anymore... And then nothing would happen at all.

Auto Startups are not working for me :( I'm still Mono have the 100 acres of land and I have 105 turns :-\

Wont work for me either.
I have 110 turns,but my auto startup page says i only have 69?

must actually log in to each country to update the turn count for the auto startup to work

Dictatorship's ghost acre bonus is getting somewhat nerfed after this set.

I'd imagine it won't be much different. We'll just have 85k land countries instead of 100k land countries.

Gallery can't calc breaks but still she's prez of warring alliance.

I was a one time member of iMag, when iScode was president. It's fun warring when it's expected to happen. Beyond that, having your set ruined when you're not expecting war is another thing.

Yeah... which is why FAPs are awesome to have, even if your set gets ruined, someone else would come along to completely fluff theirs over. :P

and 3 tags set is ruined.

Which makes having pacts very important. :)
