Maybe interestingly and on topic is that the spanish flu became much worse because of World War 1; the trench warfare isolated the mild variants in the trenches who had only a few fellow soldiers to spread it to, while the very harsh variants forced the soldiers to be recalled to front hospitals which allowed them(the virus variants) free access to a great number of new hosts.

I agree, incidentally a month before the pandemic started I went for a full physical including blood work, and the one thing I was really critically low on was vitamin D, I was prescribed 2 doses of 50,000 cu of Vitamin D, 1 dose per week, doctor told me he couldn't understand why I would rarely get sick being that Vitamin D is a major player in our immune system, since then intake about 5k cu per week during winter alone as he suggested of over the counter stuff, but yeah I agree that living a healthy lifestyle will boost your immune system, however, not everyone is blessed with good immune systems and even if they try to be healthy it just isn't enough.
