Picked a virus from an ad you had -- I usually click an ad there to support ya'll -- picked up the anti-virus virus 2012 from an ad.

yeah, i thought adds were made obsolete back in like 2002 when adblock was made

Trife - Some people choose to support those that do for them. Learn some manners. I don't recall the ad, seems like it was a white ad (don't know if that helps) I usually just click and close.

sorry for the snarkiness, i hadn't had my coffee

i've donated to EE recently because i, like you, appreciate the hard work that pang & co have put into this game

i'm not sure how much ads pay nowadays (is it even a penny?), but donating is probably the best way to support them

however that doesn't take away from the point that EE's ads shouldn't have viruses on them

EE's ads do not have viruses on them, at least in the context of this thread. It's only ads on BoxCar that are giving people problems.

I had the same issue when I logged in once, didn't even click on anything... My antivirus stopped it so no harm was done. I was told that Pang was messaged about this issue more than a week ago. Shame its still occurring.

we use Google ads, which are supposed to be the safest ones.

i'll log the issue with them since it's persisting.

to remove it successfully.

Google seems pretty unhelpful, based on the other threads I read on this same issue.

if someone can please let me know when this triggers your antivirus, let me know which ad it is and I'll ensure it's blocked & reported.

whether it's boxcar or ee, the ads are the same service, so it could occur on either.
