besides, i already spent over $500 in hardware on my Inspiron Duo, and it doesn't look like it meets the specs. probably my bad for picking a system that i can actually make money with versus blowing my wad on something that's pretty much just for wasting time playing games.

what's the average power consumption of today's gaming PCs? the last one i bought was like 450 watts. about 1/3 the power consumption of my microwave oven. just so i can see pretty pixels... naw, i don't think so.

those are today's stats. when i was looking at it, it worked out as spending $3k on a gaming PC and getting zero dollars worth of games vs spending $500 on a console and getting oh my god $2500 worth of games. but y'all do math differently than me, and i don't really care that you're happy go lucky bastages that can afford to have a microwave running 24/7. so we'll call it even.

It doesn't matter if you have more 'spending' money on games on a console,

the only games that console are 'better' are games like

Mario, simple linear game that requires two buttons.
FF type games as well, 3D world, but still simple adventure game.

Please tell me you aren't the type to play shooter games on console, because that is like running a marathon backwards, you can do it, it's only more difficult, and holds no purpose.

lol i was joking, didnt even know there was d3jsp.

used to do all those runs back in the day, then i realized d2jsp back then could do all the pindle/etc. runs better and faster than you could by hand and auto stash stuff. also you could run multiple instances of d2 and d2jsp on the same computer. think i would run like 6 at a time on my computer and ebay the items back then (though by the time i had it properly set up market was really slim but it was still good money in college).

and before you bag on the bots. theres absolutely nothing gained but the items in doing hours and hours of runs by hand. i did play d2 hardcore as well. i remember playing on really bad dialup back in the day sometimes. so sad when the last thing you see is some le -> lost connection to server -> dead lvl 95

Buy an USB controller and enter into any internet cafe, join up any FPS multiplayer server, and tell me how you make out.

if you are good FPS player with a controller, i have no doubt you can own at it against other FPS players with a controller.

I've had this debate with a hardcore gamer friend, who was quite good at console FPS, he has won tournaments and such, he accepted my challenge, and got destroyed against top tier M+KB players while using a controller.

it's not even comparable.
