china owns the US. coastal brasil is up to par. south africa is very developed considering damn near every other country on the continent. india could be on that list soon if they get their fluff together.

on the flip side you have greece and italy in dire need of financial recovery, the US regressing compared to the rest of "developed" countries in innovation, japan has an ever increasing spending to GDP ratio that makes the US look good with money (they just know how to get the money)... need I go on?

I only picked the countries I did (russia, et al.) due to the low number of guns per hundred people and the fact that they have some of the highest gun murder rates in the world
