Seriously tech selling daily at 10k randomly.

have the bots really fluffed that market?
Also, the bots having 2 bil cash all the time plus getting farmed no retails..... Giving people way more land....

techmarket is even more fluffed up in ffa, indy is selling mostly bit over 1k and busi-agri 2k-3k (with spikes its 4k+) and rest vary under 2k to 3k. med and spy cost more than indy.

lol yeah qz its 8k to 10k tech being bought in ways never have before qz I'm not sure who is doing it but, its worth looking at to see if its just a player buyout or a fluffup in script somewhere.

What I don't get is the drop to 2.5k to 3k to 8k to 10k in a single day. That doesn't happen regularly in 1a. Or has the 1a market become this fluffed up?

I just find it weird cause have never seen market act like this in my entire years playing this game. I understand high prices team was super high but, there was no MASSIVE fluctuation daily.

I have seen it spike in every tech to.

team server just lacks techers, all basic techs like mil, busi, resi, agri, milstrat and weap are bought out daily and rest prices are ~3k if not bought out.

yes Trife that is what I thought if so, there going through a fluff ton of cash. I didnt' think anything of it but, its being done daily. Daily another tech is bought out. The cash alone is insane.

My theory is that you're seeing what happens when a server drops to 300 legit players, when the majority of those players are protected from ever being land grabbed, and have the ability to land trade (or bot hunt now) for huge amounts of acres.

Even small deviations from the normal ratios of people playing each strategy will result in larger and larger market irregularities as player counts drop. Note that prices on jets and turrets have basically never dropped below 150, and could routinely be sold for 170+ for the first four weeks of the reset. I don't think I've ever seen that on the alliance server in 17 years.

If this trend continues, it could lead to some interesting new strategies becoming viable (those that are better able to adjust to an unfavorable or volatile market)

suncrusher there has always been tech buyouts but, never a buyout a day for over 2 weeks straight. And random tech being bought at weird levels and dropping so, fast. Real people would just wait for tech to drop and buy cheaper.

Its not supply and demand do to the 8k swing.

Yes SAM_DANGER that might be true its just weirder then hell but, the military can be explained more with people buying early on and wanting to farm bots and stuff. The problem is this tech is hard to explain. Why would I buy at 10k if I can literally wait 15 minutes and buy same tech and 3k?

I took advantage of the bots having very little regard for price in FFA for biz/res tech. Was selling those techs for $6500 - $8k early in the setat one point. Not sure if the 1a bots play the same way as the FFA bots.

that was semi suggested during mehul's era and mainly wouldn't work since servers aren't in sync (for example alliance starts 3 days later than ffa so ffa market goodies would lower alliance market goodies prices and end of set prices would rise prices (except bushels) on starting servers) and would make some strats more difficult (techers wouldn't enjoy having early high prices, farmers would suffer bushels prices jumping up and down when other servers start and flood market with cheap bushels (sure demos could buy all those 30-36 bucks bushels but it requires that they could spend that money on buying military and that might not be possible always) and commies would suffer too and military resellers), those who would benefit on global market would be cashers (no need to worry about high bushels prices) and demo farmers (upto some point).

I think it's sort of what Sam said. The market is SUPER thin. I was single-handedly keeping mil strat inflated by about $1k for two days or so on my weekend. Even though it was hitting a max price and I was setting the fake asking price very close, morons kept undercutting by like $600-900....lol.

Anyway, this is what happens to the market when there are few players, and even fewer netters.

Theres very few techers this set and huge abundance of traders. Every time a huge trader starts stocking they need to max out agro and buy up bus and res.... lot of new guys trading I wouldnt doubt if these buyouts have nothing to do with the bots at all, the markets are just crazy tho. I wouldn't doubt if a techer beats the pants off the best landtrader this set if they have minimal market skills, they've probly been able to buy food at 35-37 all set long and resell at 37-40 and rebuy cheap, and when bushels finally do peak when the last of the traders begin to stock a techer whos been stocking all set with these highly inflated tech prices should hit a gold mine. Can probly cash out even more on a military tech spike too when all these traders planning theo destock realize how much military tech they need to sell food on private at 35 after conversion.

2000 countries is 125 ppl, give or take a few..

A person running self trading demo resellers can screw that market up so fast. 125 is a 1/4 of alliance. If a few players can distrupt alliance. Then one with 16 can cause hell on FFA. If they were so inclined too

sure can cause hell but standing orders make sure that that hell won't last long.

i've many times sold my techs over 3k on standing order while so showed was ~2k and current price was ~3.5k
