Luck does plenty noticable. Missiles, explore rates, booms and busts, anything that uses the gaussian curve. Stop spreading bullfluff.

i'm not fluffing, just saying that everything luck (supposedly) does can be explained normal random factor (for example 1 of my countries has gotten only 5 chems so far and other has gotten 1 cm and 1 nm and 1 em and other non-techers have ~8 missiles).

Luck supposedly gets you more random booms, but it isn't very testable or verifiable. Luck also gets your goods to the market the same % faster, increases explore rates by an average of the same % luck. Again unverifiable.

It is verifiable because it is in the code and me and qzjul talked about it. Believe me or not, the choice is yours. Luck works. Period. Dont really care who you quote unless it is an admin recanting what me and qzjul talked about a couple years back.

Very literally, it shifts the gaussian curve that effects random factors. This is a fact.

fordy: you have access to alpha server so test it, run 1000 turns with 2 countries, 1 country with ~25% luck and other with ~25% def bonus and tell us which one of those has more positive happenings.
