As usual I have to disagree with you.

There are like 15-25 players trying to get the highest NW they can every reset. Usually no one goes for land. I did this set, with a Democracy to prove how easy it is. And I succeeded. 55k acres before Latvia and 56k acres after him, still finnished on 53k which is land record with a sizeable margin. If I did it with any other govt I would be higher, and if I didn't overflow on turns this friday afternoon I would have been higher still. So land record is easy because no one tries.
