Converted 283m oil to jump 461m nw on private.. then realized I still had 45acres (my CS) to drop after I had built 1 turn of MB. Why does dropping 45 acres deplete your private market by 360m units!? Such a stupid unnecessary ingame formula, it should deplete by acres not by the % of your total acres. *heavy sigh*. Last time I'm jumping from my phone.

Damn that sucks :( on that topic, is there a place where it sums up all the differences between earth 2025 and earth empires? Like does the 2b bug still exist, can you store food on market without it spoiling, etc?

I think we have a post in omega's strat board that goes over most of that, i'll top it for you.

also, 2bil bug is gone - however it's still not viable to use turns with over 2bil on hand as they added 'corruption' so you lose a % of your money if you use turns with over 2bil. However you can sell off your stock in one go and have much more than 2bil on hand.
And you can store anything on the market without it spoling!
They've also added 'market orders' so you can put up an order for any unit and any price and you'll buy it as soon as it hits the market, provided no one else is in front of you on the queue for the same price.

Some other big changes.. what my OP was referencing, you can covert oil to private market units, so you can jump all at once on your private. Some people like to stock up oil so that they can run turns til as late as possible in the set, then drop all your acres so you can jump at max tmbr prices and use your oil to fund your private market for your jump.

They also added bot countries! They just run turns and are divided into the main strats and are free to grab without worrying about retals.

announcements have changesets posted (ee-wiki (link at top) has changes upto late 2011 and rest you need to dig up from announcements).

no 2b bug (it was changed to corruption).

food/oil/military are safe on market (outside if gets killed then market goods get restart treatment).

some main changes are selling oil at priv on express and burning oil to get more priv mkt units.

bushels selling price at priv is 29 (base as non-theo) not 32 and only demos with near max miltech can get it to 36, rest to 35 outside theo.

Least i'm #1 in the stat that counts.

I did not know dropping land would do that.

I know/have heard that if a turn 20 min period goes by after you have sold your oil for units. You will have a decrease in your units.

I'm not sure if dropping the land caused the change but I think it could be from a new turn resetting your private market over to a new max based on your current ~40 acres. I think that happened to me once sometime but not on an end of set destock. Something worth researching

I thought that too, but i still had about 300m units left on my private, if it reset to my 40 acres private max, would it not have been about nothing at all?

That was 64% loss in private market for dropping those 45 acres. I never knew of this. I also waited to see what happened on the turn change. This was only a 8% loss of units.
