one of the rules of this server is no clans
as clinton would say; define "clan"
so i would like to lay out a few scenarios and have people respond with a quick yes it is or no it is not clan conduct
if we can get serious responses maybe it will help the smart guys who run this server make appropriate adjustments
if u can not respond thoughtfully pls dont respond

A. U notice that a country is a clanmate from another server
1. u send him a request for an alliance
2. when he gets hit u retaliate
3. when he gets hit u send him an offer of aid
4. when u r looking for lg targets u skip him
5. when he hits u u send him a note saying hey its me
6. at reset end u nuke the guy ahead of him

B. U receive a message from a clanmate from another server
1. U explicitly agree to aid each other
2. U solicit one other player from that same clan
3. U solicit two oither players from that same clan
4. U solicit three other players from that same clan
5. U solicit 17 other players from that same clan

C. U recognize a member of an opposing clan
1. U attack soley because of events on the other server
2. U solicit ur friend to attack him
3. U solicit two friends to attack
4. U solict three friends to attack

I help friends regardless of if they're from the same clan or not. You can call it clan mentality if you like, but it really just boils down to human nature - safety in numbers, mutual protection, etc, etc, etc. It's definitely not worthy of a thread though...

C is certainly not true. Personally I have allied up with people from alliances that generally never liked the alliance I'm from.

I've had C happen to me before - didn't see it as any reason to go crying on the boards though. It's just the way some people are. I'm not about to take it personally enough to let it make me question playing a server or not.

hell, on primary one time, NA and SoF had a mini war, with chats and everything

this was years ago though

People pact the same guys every reset. It's in essence very similar to Team Server. Some of us go into each round with no allies. I haven't had the same ally (to my knowledge) in more than 1 set so far. I just send out random pacts to countries that look decent :P

one of the other threads had a suggestion line on how to improve the game

one suggestion was to lock in names, i.e. once u chose a name for the server that was ur name every reset

i could live with that i would prefer having no names at all

I change my name every set in express so i dont like that idea

Allies are allies. I never ask who you play with on another server. I do sometimes know which alliance they play in on other servers. Whether or not we are in the same alliance or different alliances on another server it makes no difference here ... except maybe I might skip someone I know when looking for a target.

yea same ^^, but ABC are all happening plenty right now. Both in express and primary. You just got to live with it or fight your corner.

I don't like the idea of tying names down, as the new players would be identified fast and farmed forever more. Anonymity is a benefit to both new players and those wanting their allegiance to remain unknown, so it cuts both ways.

I have allied with cobalt in multiple express games.... BTW I hate lae but that doesnt carry over into express.

afaik - new players aren't exactly hard to identify as it is....you wouldn't actually be trying to tell us that someone who can't pass 100k NW before most pass 1 mil isn't going to get farmed anyways the way things stand right now, are you?
