off allies help to offset high oil prices, it's pretty cost effective as long as your allies leave some military behind.

i believe he got deleted because he had a friend give him jets and a couple ops here and there. i guess when youre not JJ you can do pretty much whatever you want.

They never said why he was deleted, but he got deleted along with a country that had the same name as a country he used as a landfarm on Express. Best guess is that country was doing his spy ops for him (he had really crap spies himself)

JJ's deletion had nothing to do with anyone spying for him, or vice versa or anyone helping each other. Nor was it for cheating.

i dont see how this is any better or worse than the guy leeching offense allies.

i can actually make the argument that offense allies thing is more beneficial. reason being, it allows you to keep more defense while attacking the same size opponents as your counterparts who have to send up to 2x as many jets. that alone is invaluable because keeping more D reduces the chance of being topfed.

plus, when you have tech allies, your allies arnt going to always tech what you need. theyre going to tech what brings in the most $$$, so most days your gains are gonna be some random medical/agri/spy tech which you have to resell to buy the one you want.

now youre paying 6 pct in market commissions and thats assuming you even have sufficient tech in those off techs to absorb what your allies are teching.

also, at this point, tech is worth much less because its sub 2k and land is more valuable, as most countries that are newbs are out of your grabbing range and if you are a single tapper, youve probably hit most people worth hitting at least once. so being able to do say, 4 PS each day for 800-100A each versus just 2 for someone with no allies. that extra 2k land will far outweigh the say, 10-15k tech pts per ally the leech gets.

you ask me if i want 45k tech pts a day or a free 2k land, ill take the land anyday of the week.

Offensive allies don't lend any support if their military is all on PS. I don't know who Veni's off. allies are and we can't talk about that on here but are people implying that they just sit their armies at home everyday to be used up by him? I would assume they attack most days, like he does, so he probably manages to use their armies only sometimes, and maybe a little less frequently they get to use his much bigger army. The advantage from offensive allies COULD be very large, but only if they sit there and let the ally "leech" their jets routinely.

once again. we never know. the only way to know would be to spy alliances on him, but then thats not allowed to be discussed here. i would never spy someone i had no intention of attacking just because i was curious of their country. i feel thats a greater waste of turns than anything.

Yeah blid his allies were always letting him PS first, that's why it was discussed in the first place. They would always PS about 1-3 hours after he does so he gets full use, and their jets are back for him to use the next day.

For those who know who is playing the top Rep, it's not surprising he is leeching tech and off allies, plus multi-tapping countries from friends or from him (only on attack on him, doing only multi-taps).

#189 fought back against Swords to Plowshares for a 4x tap. Note #189 is the person that Autumn On a Saturday attacked 9x.
