I built 2k rigs at the start, thought that oil was gonna be costly, but it got so cheap that I destroyed them already and now this happens ><

well first conclusion is friend helping friend, second logical conclusion most unlikely that all players play legit is that is someone protecting stock from other players via the market.

so your saying someone is buying all the oil so no one else can have it? that isn't a winning strategy.

just chiming in, but buying out the oil market can be tactical ... if you are in the big boy league and just popped someone that will retal, but isn't holding enough oil to make the response, buying out the oil market is buying time ...

and the oil to pm units conversion is becoming well known, so goofing the oil market now may be part of somebody's strategy of deception

and lastly, if someone just wanted to crimp up the bottom feeding orientation of the server, taking the oil away would do it

I bought out the oil yesterday for a retal, I also accidentally purchased some in the 900$ range which I didn't really see as I wasn't paying attention.

no stan I was suggesting people putting oil on market at a ridiculous price so no one would buy it but it would be safe from other players burning it on them or grabbing some on a hit if they just kept it on hand

Relax, i'd confess if it were true this set, but no, not me this time . just like cash, some days ago i did buy out all the oil to support a couple of big hits, but it was all below $400 at that time ... and once i had my quota, i left the market to itself ...

but in the past, i have definitely bought time to get my country built/rebuilt by playing "keep away" with the public oil market

and when evaluating a grab target, i allways check their oil situation, because if they have no oil on hand and the oil market has been thin or high priced, then you can count on their retal being delayed

I nvr make oil rigs usually unless I play oiler. We need more people like stanrools!

Stanrools is playing farmer this set. hense the oil prices. Maybe next set Earthempires will have affordable oil. as everyone knows with oiler their can only be one big oiler otherwise the market is to soft.
