I messaged him in-game and asked what his deal was... and he says its in retaliation for multiple grabs on #44 and #92 and that James shouldn't be multi tapping people...

Which is rich because if you look through Lebanon's history he has multi tapped both #16 and #94 at least 3 or 4 times each

The only logical explanation is that he is an ally of bug.. and is trying to help bug get the win.. which I hope is not true because that would be pretty lame

lol im interested to see the military losses on both side in a grab like this.. the battle will involve more than 160mil units on both sides

I would think before the hits it would have been 175m units involved more or less to make it a successful break. I have it figured I could have a 2.3m dollar savings in expense if my turrets were normal and jets on a destock. Crazy cost with running from retals with turrets absolutely mind boggling expenses these last 1000 turns. It was fun but I have zero interest in the future on playing like this again. Way to much work and time the first 40 days.

No worries, that's what def allies are for .. and my losses are nothing compared to the turrets you lost in those lemming attacks

Pretty sure there were a lot of people playing 50-100 countries each way back then, and guys were running oil bot countries selling dirt cheap oil.. rl friends of mine were in RD... I was in high school back then..

I remember buddies of mine thinking I was crazy for only playing 1 country, and a top 100 finish was a tough task..

Thank you to Ponti for being a brilliant def ally!! And great job to him in making some very dangerous grabs and never eating a retal, despite having my weak turrets on his def ally ledger. I know it was costly in expenses, but it was very impressive!

I'm curious how much net I could have gotten if I'd just stayed techer. After food market bottomed out upon my conversion, it was honestly hard to stay invested in playing as I knew my chances of having a strong country had gone up in smoke. When I ate that (very avoidable) retal I didn't log in for over two days and lost over 100 turns to overflow. :/ Oh well, that just reflects poorly on my own attitude... will try to rebound next set. Really want to know what strats Bug, Rob, Ponti, Relax, KoH, Getafix, Hess, Delphinus, etc are playing next reset so we can get things nice and balanced and competitive for everyone!
