Implying you need oil for war. With the new changes if you need a good chunk of oil to AB someone you won't be doing any damage.

I must have missed those new changes. I thought it seemed odd how little damage my ABs were doing. Drat...

Yeah, they set it up so a person taking a lower number of hits, or a person with more defense, takes less damage, and then it ramps up the more hits you do. Makes sense in the alliance servers or even somewhat in Express where you can do a whole bunch of hits. In Primary and Tournament, AB is pretty neutered now. Especially since the "ramp up" period is 24 hours, and after 24 hours, you have to start over again. They've been made aware of this problem. I think they should be able to adapt the formula for AB because the primary intention was to make it harder to do KRs and easier to wall, and ABs don't kill anyone...

Probably because when they put it up for $250, the market price was probably between $250-300 then.

So how would you explain the oil graph in primary on eestats. It looks to me like every 2 to 3 days the gap is filled due to ppl holding on to turns and realizing they need to buy oil at current price in order to continue.

Either that or someone does a partial oil buyout every few days.

Actually even looking at past few reset market prices/demand graph for oil, the long term demand graph is for the most part linear (of course fluctuations from day to day but long term is linear growth) until day 50 while price graph is different from reset to reset.

Likely people holding turns then needing to spend them.

It's entirely possible it could just be a very smart oil reseller. Crest is one person that I immediately think of that would do that.

Well you farmers/oilers should get together and agree not to sell oil for a few days, well you bigger ones anyway and see what happens? Then it should spike a little and help you out? Then depending on the price sell at 250-300 again instead of undercutting one another?

All that does is help out the one guy that manages to sell his "mini pile" at the 250-300 mini spike. The rest with their mini piles (from holding back a few days) will all be struggling to undercut each other even harder once they realize it won't sell.

Hmmm maybe you are right? And maybe oil is dead?
