Just happy that my first set in FFA came to something good. It was a nice time in LoC, thanks for having me. And the game was interesting albeit a very arduous job playing 16 bloody countries. I can't do it again I think, I won't for a while I'm sure. I may play a small string just for keeping up with the LoC guys.

SV your string was very nice for sure. I didn't go for TNW and had no plans in that direction. My 15 other countries finished by burning oil and only affording to buy out troops and some tanks. My ratios were all wrong on those because I had to buy that oil on last day from my main because I failed to balance it last week when i was on a trip(to Stockholm) and busy. I had enough stock to average far more but so much was wasted on oil overdose. I would still not have been close to you though ofc, as I was not going for TNW.

You gotta look at the fascists case for building. Rigs require no tech for producing 3 oil per building yet farms require significant investment to even beat rigs at 1:4.5. 250 would then require food at above 55 for the fascist to not build 100% rigs and one such fascist will crash the limited express, primary or tournament markets.

I actually mainly self farmed(very limited self farming I might add) because I had turns to run and had other stuff to do like sleeping, traveling, seeing friends or whatever. The proper netting move for me in all those cases would have been to keep hitting bots.

You expect me to take time to find real targets with 16 bloody countries? I may be the worst multi in history but FFA is useless for be because of time constraints... most of the set I have been logging in to 5-10 120(120) countries. FFA would be far better for me if it was 5 countries.

Will likely be my last set of any half-real effort in FFA too. I might run a string of one just to keep in touch with my tag buddies. :)

It was 1 vs 1 and you provoked it by suiciding us late-set and then threatening us. You were very ill prepared for it, but thats on you. A war tag who provokes a netting tag and is unprepared for war. Why wouldn't we strike?

Usually when you have a significant stock its worth it to switch theo for destocking. Bushels ofc cant be sold on theo private market. Switching to full military bases is also very effective depending on your stock:nw ratio which usually makes it favourable in alliance, team and FFA but less so in primary, tournament and Express.

Meh. Those missiles would miss by 1-2 states if they would even be able to load and fuel them before being taken out on the ground. They can't wipe you out for at least 2 years.

Fascism hybrid is really overpowered, tyr is even more overpowered for grabbing and because of the high private sales prices farmer is the new, better casher.
Then you got the bots who overproduce food and buy out res/bus techs so fcking always. Every techer knows that if agri and res/bus is selling at the same price you tech res/bus, but every game with bots have higher res/bus prices than agri tech. So again, farmer is a better improved casher.

the main cause is the $29 private food as base. used to be $24 when food still peaked to 55-75 every reset. Farmer was crap early, but had a fantastic midgame. Now farmer is just alright all the time. I find it a bit boring tbh.

There should be public strategy pages so that players don't have to play an alliance game to learn this game.

Lots of players are happy with just sitting in tournament, express or primary reset after reset and trying to improve on their own. But they rarely do, since there is hardly even a hint of information that is easy to come by about very basic stuff like specialization, tech starts, stockpiling, destocking or landgrabbing tactics.

Make a very light version of KoDs earthlibrary and link to it ingame and from forums and the main page.

I guess the "you will never net again"-crew feels butthurt about one of their netters tasting the same medicine, albeit not from their victim. Maybe just accept that it is a war game on this server too or in general be less hypocritical? :P

I don't know max or vern and I don't care. And I don't wish that fate on anyone. But your(max's) mates are doing the exact same thing on 3 servers(primary, alliance and team) and are now complaining here about you suffering the same fate as they have done onto 50+ others for the past 15 sets on some of those servers. It's a war game.
If you are gonna have so many acres you have to be able to defend yourself.
He could break you so you were not defended enough.
Should we just remove special attacks so that you snowflake netters can play your game of tetris alone?
Maybe you can just type in the amount of acres you want too so you don't have to explore or attack bots, remove the war room and spy center alltogether?

I did something that I might intuitively call a restock once where I destocked expensive bushels and stocked cheap military, then sold that military more expensively and bought back cheaper bushels before taking a turn... it is really rare to find conditions where that can work. Is that what Marshal means?

If you want to know how much you can gain you need only to use a calculator or if you got anything between your ears you can do the math yourself.

I hear this crap all the time if you have land you have to protect it. From whom? There are like 100 people in the server right now that can break everyone else on the server if they want to. They don't tho. Because they are not that simple minded.

Pretty sure a restart broke you when we killed you. You might have had it comming but Havoc didn't, he is not at war with you.

So what would Havoc need to have to defend himself against Elders restarts, who might take a few days of playing untagged to grow before suiciding? whats reasonable? 15m turrets? 10m troops? 2m tanks? 85% SDI? 400 SPAL? Thats gonna cost quite a bit and there are 50 other netters competing with him that does not have that.

What if he gets those numbers and nets with that and then the guy with 700m bushels stocked decide enough is enough, this Havoc fellow has to be stopped... What does Havoc need then? I guess he can minimize the damage with 150m turrets.

You can never be safe from suiciders in this game, therefore it is never the suicided's fault. You are left with blaming the game admins and/or the suicider.

It is ofc way more effective to be fat and have high techs than to be thin and have high techs.

I recommend a standard all-exp rep casher. In Express it should be quite possible to get 20-25m NW with all-xp rep casher most resets.

If you wanna get higher you probably gonna have to do some market magic but its quite doable given the highly predictive nature of the express market.

yes Im all for dropping the military production boost to commie back to 25% along with some changes to the bots so they get a bit more defence instead of buying tech.

Part of the reason why C/Is win primary is that late-game topfeeds are impossible to stop and they obliterate cashers, while a C/I can live with it. So C/Is can landtrade with a strong casher to make sure that casher will not beat them. Both may lose out but the casher loses far more.

With the +35% indy production and 160% max tech a C/Is lategame is huge as long as the finishing NWs are not above 150m or so(where expenses kill the C/I).

New clans surviving their first time on the sever is a given now tho. Bots are their cannon fodder. No tag will ever be farmed out of the game as long as the bots work. Except of course if several of the big tags decide we have enough players.

You may not like them but you gotta agree that bots make playing untagged possible and playing a small tag not only doable but also quite easy nowadays.

No one can farm a small tag for the purpose of building their country, since there are better targets out there that don't retal unpredictably. Sure you can farm a tag out of existance based on malice still but it will likely come at a high cost.

I have several running themes and quite often I go outside that.

The bots are out of balance as we all know. I just killed a rep bot. Maybe it will lower the tech prices marginally, otherwise I might kill one more for ya all so that cashers and farmers can compete.

Yeah, they have been awesome and thank you Mak for acknowledging that. These people are an awesome addition to the game. The game is supposedly dying and people are obviously trying to speed that up. But this is fresh new blood and if people stop trying so hard to destroy it maybe this game could be fun for another couple of years.

Wow your brain was really unlucky there I hope. Hits per country is low because we have had 60+ countries totally with restarts. Hits per member is what you should look at if you want a stat that actually tells you something.

You wanna put charcoal. The ashe of cigarettes is very little carbon even though the tobacco and paper burnt with an oxygen deficit, it all burned though it just meant that the oxygen was not sufficient to make CO2 out of all the carbon. Carbon monoxide, CO, was made instead with some of the carbon.

It likely wont hurt the plants. But if you wanna improve the soil, ashes are not likely to add any value unless the soil lacks calcium, magnesium or potassium, but charcoal will make minerals and other nutrients stay in the soil longer instead of letting them wash away, if that is an issue.

Keep throwing your ashes in the soil, theres no use wasting valuable space in the trash for it.

In E2025 bushels sold for under the private market sell price would be autobought by the private market. I didn't try that on EE tho.

Ratski, GDI is negated by a war declaration or that you increase your NW. Run a country that is capable of increasing it's NW for once. Also you farmed another guy so I feel like its karma when you get farmed.

Specialize your country and don't play like a fluff, this sets fail is 100% on you.

I think food and oil sells to your private market if you sell at below the private market sell price... I'm not sure if tax is included in that. but it would mean that a theo MBR can sell lower than anyone else.

Raz I don't see how it is any difference whatsoever. If you wanna get 1 huge country you still have to play your others well and grab well which takes time. And since presumably others are going for the same you will still have similar competition. Basically it is neither harder nor easier.

Grabbing is far far better in FFA than on alliance so if you run a string of one you should always be able to beat the best alliance finish ever my miles. running 16 countries like that enables you to FA one to 1st or get a great average, I honestly don't see why there should be any difference in the level of skill required.

I started playing with no plan and I have been playing like a fluff plus I lost like 1-2k turns to overflow beacuse it's too much for me to play 16 countries some weeks. I have gone with the trends and switched based on feeling and I made/participated in some kills too just to get rid of my turns when I didn't feel like playing them.

I think everyone here plays like a fluff, such as I have, because the toll of running 16 countries and actually thinking about running them all effectively is too much.

If I were to do 16 proper cash starts I would die IRL, no joke.

I believe the FFA server is mostly about endurance. If by some miracle you manage to find time and motivation to not overflow and to grab with all your countries, you get top 3 or probably 1st in a normal reset. I would possibly be able to win this set and my gameplay has been a poor joke, but that is if I make sure that i don't overflow and I keep selling and resetting orders like a proper player would. But who am I kidding, I'm overflowing right now and not in the mood to do something about it, I keep buying overpriced tech because Im too lazy to set orders and I keep grabbing every bot like 6-7 times because I'm too lazy to type in a new number.

Yeah Rage looks like they have a couple of alright netters now. Wtf is up with that? like 1 year before I quit E2025 Rage was like 200 members and could not spell 'net'. :P

I really think it would be better if you dropped your land so no one gets an unfair advantage. I am not sure what the mods would do but I would consider it cheating if I farmed you after your ingame message, and I like to try to win without cheating.

So when you quit, drop your land, keep the competition alive between the 40 or so others in the game.
