The bots solved this, not any clan. There is no longer a reason to farm tags that can retal you or your friends when the bots are 1/3rd of the countries on the server and most players don't even grab the majority of their acres.

I think its far more common to find scientist and engineers in EE than in the general public. The reason is that it is a math game.

If the box is sealed and does not expand as the outer pressure decreases the pressure in the box will be the same as where it was sealed.

Finding a container that does not expand as the delta pressure bewteen inside and outside increases to 700 bar will be more difficult.

The formula for tech stealing is quite easy, with old ops you can do this math yourself and find out your reasons have been dreamed up in a hurry and that you should have gone with something true.

As for RED topfeeding us. They asked us for a pact, and we happily accepted as we have no reason to not be pacted with them. Had we not had this opportunity we would have retalled the top feed and asked for a pact. The game is totally different with the bots around and no small tags will ever suffer from LaF as long as they are around. Again you show that you are a bully for the sake of bullying. And you can't compare that to your BSS BS which was in a whole different era where land was scarce.

We spent many turns looking to see when you were going. You spied us too. Normal spy is not an act of war. Us tech stealing would be. If we fail so many ops on you but no fails on the tech stealing is that not a sign for you that we couldn't have been doing it? I mean, use your brain.

We have a two threads with significant traffic on our boards with 4-5 members getting their tech stolen and speculating that it's Elders doing it. No fails. SUICIDAL (#3) matched the NW movement on more than one of those occasions but that is hardly proof, so they were told to get higher SPALs and not draw any conclusions, the damage was negligeble anyway, less than 1B worth for all those steals.

Pressure-volume work is calculated as deltaP*deltaVol... since the deltaVol is very small the work would be small.

Water is compressible depending on temperature. It is just less compressible than most other liquids.

There are obviously diagrams describing this at the end of a google search but if my memory serves me right you got about 2-4% higher density of pure water at the pressures in the deepest waters on earth. Ofc it is not pure water there, it is salt water so Im not exactly sure what happens then to the compressibility. I would guess most impurities increase the compressibility of water as it is one of the least compressible liquids.

They have to work on the balance between the bots so that they dont drive the market like in FFA, alliance and express. Techer bots need to tech more and have a proper weighting function as well as pricing function. Casher, farmer and techer bots need to buy more military and in random amounts so they buy less tech and so they are harder to farm.

Maybe making bots ally each other would also be a way to both make farming them slightly harder and also make techer bots sell more techs.

Not really up to date with the trash talk but just a procedural question... why didn't you both hide your country names and go gdi? Then like 1 HR before the set time you could each hit eachothers with 2 failed ss to break Gdi? If you really wanted to fight 1vs 1, that is.

I think he is a good player who plays a very clean and efficient commie indy when he wants to. But also a bit lazy so he does not do it every reset.

I understand what you were doing when you added the oil burning feature and as a mechanic I very much like it, but it has had the unintended effect of creating strategies that are almost completely independent of the public market.

The public market is, dare I say, the foremost invention in this game. Using it optimally requires experience, interpretation skills and game understanding as well as psychology and patience. There is also a degree of risk-reward in just about every choice you make on the public market. Timing conversions, jumps etc are also greatly affected by the markets.

While the bots affect the markets as well at least they have the effect of adding liquidity. The oil destockers remove liquidity. And it's effect is very visible in for example the team server.

You have also basically killed the full TMBR.

I propose these changes:
1. Limit the oil burning to something like 10 or 20 barrels per acre/turn tick, and use the same function as the private market units accumulation for accumolating oil burning capacity. If 10 barrels/acre/turn it mean 3.5 times fast private market replenishment than normal, and if 20 barrels/a/t it means 6 times faster. ofc this has to be balanced.
2. Increase the units from oil burning by 50%. This also has to be balanced.

With this:
-You keep the end of set oil demand high and it even rises with everyone jumping.
-Everyone will jump through the public market and their timing and knowledge of this and the TMBRs read and knowledge of the market will determine their success over days or perhaps over a week instead of everyone using a step-by-step jumping scheme that takes 10 minutes to execute.
-It creates more market interaction and an opportunity to math out new strategies.
-The full acre TMBR is reborn, yay.

An alternative would be to have a checkbox to burn oil where oil would be consumed at every turn tick and the result would be that the private market replenishes that much faster.

You don't actually need to send anything out to get information on distant planets, just catch the light and interpret it. hubble can look at a small area and it takes computers days to interpret it. 130 years from now when Enterprise is up and running I'd imagine we'd have faster computers and maybe somekind of magnetic lenses that focus the light from a larger area of space at the same time so that vast areas can be scanned for habitable planets in a fraction of the time it takes now. Remember that the whole star trek universe is in a quadrant of the milky way, so we are "only" talking a few thousand light-years.

The only thing I don't like about star trek is their communistic economic system. They suggest that other incentives has taken over the role of money, such as the need to better oneself of humanity. what a load of hippie BS, right? On the other hand the higher up the heirarchy they come the hotter and more frequent are the chicks. That would work but what motivates the chicks when they can just set the microwave for a new pair of shoes or a hand-bag.

I'd rather see game changes to make walling less powerful, perhaps by making bioterrors more powerful on team server or by some other mechanic like GSs and BRs causing "panic in the streets; population growth has been halved" 1 turn for every couple of attacks. But this won´t happen.

about 1.5-3F below the temperature of the PS3... If the water can act as a heat sink.. somehow I doubt that. It is more likely that the ice/water cools the air that goes into the PS3 which means that the water will always help as long as it stays below 73 F. Which it will as long as there is water because of evaporation, unless ofcourse it is directly heated by the PS3 in which case it will help even if the temperature rises above 73 F.

Problem is if the tray obstucts the airflow in any capacity it will have a negative impact way sooner.
