I'm simply interrogating the premise that your being specifically targeted by an "in-crowd" was reason to to pick casher last set. I'm wondering when (if ever) that happened here to you prior to your choosing Rep last round.

I agree that it's fluffty to mess with a country just because you decide you don't want that person to win. Some random guy did it to me my first set back and I didn't enjoy it (https://www.eestats.com/primary/oldcountry/1897/83). I don't think that was an "in-crowd" scheme though. I don't like the sound of that! I always tell anyone toying with urges like that to forget about it.

Hmm, I know Hessman hit you last reset but since you chose Rep before that happened what are you referring to here? Ponti thinking he could outrun you is all I can think of, but he hit every player that wasn't allied with him during his run, including Delphinus, Serp, Relax, and so on.

The dumb thing I did was that during the military price low point of ~$125, I scrounged up $1.3b and then mistakenly spent it all on $123 private market troops due to having multiple tabs open and thinking I was on another server. Had to sell jets/turrets off at $125 all over again to get any cash to play on. Lost 1.5m net with the click of a button.

Gerdler am I right that you ate up all those discount jets from Assassin?

Heh, this was a rough 2nd place because I went like 3 weeks thinking as long as I played it safe, I had it. Kind of reminds me of my first set back. I'm pretty glad I scooped that random win a few months ago :)

Nice score Gerdler, went above what I had thought possible on 50k with that timing. Congrats

Again using recent past rounds for reference, Relax got to 113m in a strong food set. He was up at 55.5k land that round vs 51.5 this time, but also was playing as a fascist. He may be right up in the mix with the top countries this time.

I *think* beavis beats 120m net, but anything can still happen. Gerdler calculated beavis isn't even in the running for 1st so I wonder how high the cashers are getting? I would guess their ceiling would be around 115m, based on Underland hitting 102m a few sets ago on lower land (45k), so just taking 100m * 1.15, and factoring in these rather difficult market conditions. Bushels will come down but I don't think that panic and crash to $40 bushels Gerdler is pushing for is happening soon.

How is this change set working out, everybody?

Primary is still mercifully on change set 17 (thank you)

Tournament is stuck on 18 and it sucks, big countries can't even AB or BR the small spy fluff countries if they're running a different building strategy. You can be 4x their size and have no way to hurt them.

Good point Tmac. sometimes a landfat country can really wallop you with a retal.

On the other hand if I'm a techer and I bounce someone's attack in my stocking phase, I'm with Ugo: there's no point in retaling if I think doing so will actually worsen my finish or start a war. Now whether either of those things is the case is anyone's question.

On this server it is 25% / 4x size restriction.

And yes, no matter how well you run your country, you can get stuck behind the 8-ball when you're too far behind. Deal a little damage out if someone multi-taps, and then at least you should only get hit once by each player on the top.

Yes I suggested to a top techer about 5 days ago he convert to farmer haha... My thinking was food prices would surge soon and there would not be too many conversions because tech had not crashed. This set is there for the taking for the right farmer.
