The 7 of us attacked all of the tags that were a part of the coalition, and not fighting each other, not just you.. But I know where your coming from.. But it needed to seen that they don't really want to, nor do they have the ability to protect anyone.. I hope the majority of the players find new homes here.. maybe even kick our ass.. Or ask for pacts.. We are happy either war

mrford I had a t5 in N last set (my first there) and though it was early, had a good chance to compete for the win this set as a pure (no retals) allx. Didn't quite work out that way lol

i dont understand why you are describing your finishes to me. you died because you were in a coalition. i said you should have joined my netting tag, that isnt in a coalition.

i had 3 different people ask me what tag i was in this set so they didnt randomly kill me.

cyref, it's really simple. Even if you set up a brand new team and come to every warring tag in the server, most of them will sign pacts with you to let you net in peace. If you're lucky, you can sign an FDP with a warring tag in secret who can do your dirty work. WE LOVE to do dirty work.

I will admit, top10 and weedy have never signed with Elders... but we've never really had a reason to kill them. Communication is important if you want to keep your netting tag safe. This ocean is full of pirates. Maybe you should hire a gun.

I'll explain it in simpler language.

I joined a coalition because said coalition was to take care of the suiciders that nip at a netter's heels. The moment you divert your turns to special attacks in order to deal with an ankle-biter you are detracting from your end NW. This is especially true for allx, where the option of making up for turns lost when eliminating a suicider by going on a grabbing spree is not an option. mrford certainly understands this but is pretending to be dense to force his point about getting killed.

When any member of my team is attacked by those suiciders, I tend to divert my gameplay to the protection of the tag. Joining the peaceful netting tag in a coalition, with other like-minded players I know in the tag, was a way to alleviate the problem of spending hundreds of my turns to take out suiciders.. or so i thought.
I was wrong. fluff happens.

How many ways do i need to explain that?

At least being killed outright in an 'execution' solves the problem quickly. Instead of wondering if weeks of countrybuilding will again be ruined by some solo suicider that can't (under)stand my team's successful peaceful netgaining, I can find better things to do with my time. It doesn't take much time away to realize what a wasteland this game has become. Revenge is fun only for griefers that need to grief.

FDPs? Those work both ways. I don't want to abandon what I enjoy every other set because my team was called in to fulfill a FDP with someone that looks for war. I'm going to play my way, Sid Meier style, or not at all.
Warmongers and suiciders can always prevent netters from netting. The reverse can never happen.

And besides, my roadtrip resulted in some very good news and after 24 hrs of R&R I'm going to celebrate.
So this server is now just a very minor annoyance. At most I'll miss playing here with some good friends, but I don't need to play in the same tag to keep in touch..

So have lots of fun, wargasmers, saving turns, mashing the attack button, and blindsiding netters. Maybe if you do exactly as you're told, when you're told, you'll get an 'atta boy' from your WC leader and maybe even earn a banana..
