I didn't even know you, so I would have given you the benefit of the doubt, but now all your sh*t is out there for the world to see. If I were you (and trust me, a lot of us have been there...), realize you're a nub, own that sh*t, and actually learn that this is NOT the way to get respect in this game. :P

Also, it's actually a waste to get that many defends unless you're going for bragging rights. After 700ish defends your restart is almost as good as new and can contribute to killing instead of just soaking hits. Unnecessary defends to me is like killing all the minions instead of focusing on the Boss of the level that keeps making more minions. If you can kill the people hitting, no need to soak hits imo.

the vast majority of your defends did not come when they had 5+ people online hitting you. It came when single hitters logged on and hit by themselves. walling this is stupid easy, and if you feel the need to brag about that then you have low goals.

Being optimal is by maximizing your chances of staying alive by surviving your opponent's attack. You can either do this by maximizing your own defensive abilities or my shortening your attackers abilities. I sacrifice time by using demos at 10 at a time, which cause me to go into the 5-10 range. So even though I don't maximize every defensive turn I do regain it by shorting my attackers turns.

if your country has 200 pop, which is within the 5 civ return window, it will take 40 hits to die. giving you 40 hits worth of time to run a few turns.
