I did. Without some sort of HD zoom on his fingers it's hard to tell if they are still touching the ball or not. I think they were, personally, but I don't think their is evidence enough to be overturning the first call.

It's funny, I have joked all season that Florida and North Carolina are two sides of the same coin. Same early struggles, same problems at the PG slot that have been helped (in Florida's case) and fixed (in Nort Carolina's case) by a freshman added in. The last couple days seems to proving it very true.

UNC combined the first half of the last two games: 50 points
UNC combined the second half of the last two games: 103 points

UF combined the first half of the last two games: 57 points
UF combined the second half of the last two games: 105 points

Rallies for the both of them from double digit deficits to pull out convincing wins.

yeah, UNC seemed to get serious at the end of the last 2 games. It perplexes me why they dont play like that all game. However, being clutch like that when the pressure is on is pretty helpful in a tournament situation. You just cant dig that hole too deep in the early game, and UNC has come very close to doing just that.

Well, just tell yourself this: there is absolutely no give up in your team. You have honest to god evidence of it.

This Washington-Arizona game has been entertaining as hell. Washington just won it with a buzzer beater in OT.

It was the most effed up series of events yet. I was sitting front row right next to replay monitors and here is what happened. Kitchen hits shot and sideline ref Eades calls it good then turns to the tunnel. Head official Brian Kersey calls him over and starts watching the monitor. He has two monitors looking at different angles. After about a minute and a half he says "it's good" and our bench again starts celebrating as the ref turns the monitors around and puts them back on the scoters table. Then for SOME reason the alternate official and the ACC Head of Officials John Clougherty who were sitting on the endzone press row come over. At that point Kersey picks up the monitor and starts watching AGAIN. Clougherty gets a police escort for the refs and after another minute of watching clips he turns and waives it off and all four refs plus Clougherty haul ass to the tunnel with four cops. Again exactly why I hate this conference.

mrford: Here is the exact series of events in video that ended the game.

Snaer has ball stolen, possibly a foul but I wouldn't be horribly up in arms about this as its the end of the game and he should have split the trap:

http://www.youtube.com/...ch?v=BDfF39e69Ho&hd=1

Va Tech's "Game winning" shot where it is much more conclusively proven that Malcolm Delaney stepped out of bounds not once, but TWICE:

http://www.youtube.com/...ch?v=1ApdX3w6yzY&hd=1

Kitchens shot where there is allegedly conclusive evidence:

Terrible officiating in the Florida-Kentucky game, but that's always to be expected when you play Kentucky. Way too many turnovers and missed shots to mount our usual comeback. Had it under 10 with 2 to go but we started fouling to stop the clock and they managed to hit every shot.

Just curious, who;s the best recruiter, but actual worst game time coach in college basketball? It's gotta be between John Calipari, Rick Barnes, and Roy Williams right?

I'm kind of leaning towards Barnes personally, but I think it's really close.

Anyone who picked Purdue may want to rethink it. There's MAJOR drama going on there after it came to light today what caused Kelsey Barlow to be suspended indefinitely. Apparently he came to practice drunk and Ryne Smith called him out on it at which point Painter confirmed and kicked the player out of practice. Upon hearing this Barlow cracked Smith upside the head with a ball rack and now Ryne Smith has a concussion and will not play the first weekend either.

At least 1 more BE team is guarenteed not to make the Sweet 16 and one is guaranteed to make it since they play each other in the 2nd Round. However I don't think any BE teams make the FF and 1 max makes the Elite 8

Considering 6 of the 8 BE teams in the tourney last year got eliminated by double digit seeds in the first two rounds, no I do not. The other two were 1 seed Syracuse who got eliminated in the Sweet 16 and West Virginia who played cupcake double digit seeds up to the Elite 8 and got curbstomped by 30 by Duke in the Final Four.

I don't know that anyone believes in the BE other then fans of the BE schools and the media at large.

And as I'm typing this they just cut to the end of the Mason - 'Nova game. Not exactly an upset but Mason wins by 4 and gets the dubious honor to play Ohio St next.

I would still mark at least one BE team in FF this year and maybe two. I think UCONN takes it all. I correctly had Duke last year. I think half the BE is a joke, but I wouldn't laugh at the prospects of playing a UCONN or Syracuse in the tourney (maybe Pitt although MD held our own against them). ACC is Duke/UNC. And UNC is all about if they stay hot shooting wise. Duke is a legit contender.

I also frown upon the SEC and most western teams. I still think OSU is a relative paper tiger as is SDSU. Kansas will blow it at some point up to FF. K-State may make a deep run.

If we get past VCU we will give Kansas a go of the Southwest regional championship game for two reasons. We are now 2-1 vs Top 5 offenses according to KenPom (beat Duke, Notre Dame, lost to Ohio State) and held all three to around 32% FG shooting. Only reason we didn't beat OSU was at the time we couldn't score ourselves. Secondly a little known fact is that Leonard Hamilton is Bill Self's litteral coaching daddy. Self was an assistant under Hamilton at Oklahoma State.

I suspect you guys will stumble on VCU because while you have the potential to score big upsets, consistency isn't your strong-suite. Your longest win-streak playing real opponents this year was 4 (Duke, then NCSU, then Miami and then BC). Of course VCU has the same problem. Kansas does not.

I think we beat VCU. The players are still feeling sleighted. Most Sweet 16 writeups barely even mention FSU and most "experts" are picking VCU. Personally I think part of the reason Purdue made VCU look so amazing is that there are major locker room problems that have emerged out of Purdue the past 3 weeks causing them to lose to Iowa, on Friday of the Big 10 tournament and then to VCU in that span after beating St Peters

^The above attitude is why our players are playing with a chip on their shoulder. FSU dosn't get any credit no matter what they do. FSU did not just beat Duke this season, they have played more Sweet 16 teams then any other team. We are 2-1 vs Top 5 offenses (Beat #4 Duke, #3nNotre Dame, lost to #1 Ohio State) If we would have figured out how to score by that point in December we likely would have beaten OSU as well. We held all three to an average of 33% shooting. We also were a Harrison Barnes desperation heave as time expired away from beating UNC as well. So yes, I believe we are very capable of beating Kansas
