Well the purpose of DR is to stop you from getting landfarmed by everyone after you have been sledge-hammered by a country trying to bring you down - to allow some room to build back up. A pseudo-protection. If they were on seperate DRs, you could get fully AB'd one day, and then continue losing full land to ruthless attackers. Hell, anyone you broke GDI with could farm you, then AB you and then log back on 12 hours later and farm you again. All the while, anyone else can join in the farming freely because you have no means to fight back.

The 72 hour fall off time for heavy DR should NOT apply to express. It's freakin' ridiculous. It should be like 18-24 hours tops.

In a 2 month set, 72 hours accounts for 5% of game time if you are smashed to pieces. If you carried the same percentage over to Express, it would mean just 6 hours before coming out of it. Of course this is a special server which requires special rules but having a country's land protected for 60% of the set is completely absurd, especially when players can knowingly abuse this (even if the perpetrator was not colluding with the victim in any way shape or form.)

Needs patching urgently.

Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Whether or not to keep the $2B on hand or not is up to you. Risk vs. reward. If you have been grabbing heaps then you should definitely be concerned about getting retalled, and consequently getting your cash stolen. People also like to use Bomb Banks (since it does not break GDI,) on the rich, so gotta watch out for that as well.

Express is pretty much an ultra furious, medieval steel cage match to the death against high-intensity, drug-fueled megalomaniacs who are hell bent on stealing your hub caps and forcing you to dance swing so they can practice using their flamethrowers on your ankles.

An 8k acres commy indy with 100k tech could (with enough cash/food on hand,) pump out 10.5m jets in 350 turns and mop the floor with your mothers pubic hair, then smoke your fine cigar collection.

I'm not sure, but I think the best strategy is to join a gang, start selling coke and work your way up the ladder. Pretty soon you'll be rolling in T10 babes and diamond encrusted jets. Troops with solid gold machine guns and tanks with 35" rims that are basically just mirrors attached to your treads to blind fools while you roll them.

Life is sweet at the top.

I don't like that the GDI mechanics tend to favour storing turns and playing a 'delayed set', so as to take advantage of being bottomfed early to make big retals later with very little fear of retaliation.

Which is why I RoR any clown who tries to pull this bs :)

I RoR if the retal is too late. I'm not gonna sit back while they snicker at reaping 1k+ acres for my early 100 acre grab. I'll take my land back and if you wanna go to war with me for it, I'm always ready to rumble :)

This is also a double bluff, because if they decide not to AB you, and RoRoR instead, then the possibility for you to wreck them is opened. If they do nothing, then you do a little victory jig on your new chunk of land.

No I was picking up the tech :P Someone else was trying to, and prob got more than I did, since it was a 'standing order war' between myself and whoever else was on-top of it.

I just made note of the fact that there were 2 countries called 'Seven of Nine' and that one of them vanished, and Celphi quit express, right after I posted about the cheap tech being dropped on the market ;)
