I think you are forgetting that this isn't a high budget operation. The people running the game are doing this in their spare time, and paying for it with likely their own money, coupled with donations. It's not exactly easy, and I think they're doing a superb job, especially considering the circumstances.

I'd always defend my tag whether or not I cared about the server.

It'd definitely be interesting. The only issue with any of these different takes on wars is the rules. We've all seen what happens when you try to add rules, such as pre-planned wars. And that's just one rule.

For any of you who use eeStats.net (If there are any of you =P):

It will be shutting down while it is converted into a new clan hosting site(And gets a major overhaul, I know the old stuff was pretty terrible). What ever happened to USIMP?

OMAC acquires Swirve which consists of Utopia and Earth, to apparently make Utopia Kingdoms. Jolt buys OMAC. Earth gets shut down. Gamestop buys a major stake in Jolt. Utopia Kingdoms is shut down. Even the game based on the game they bought is shut down, and it's only a matter of time before standard Utopia is shut down too. It's just so absurdly devastating that I can't help but find it comical.

I know offhand of several local small business which hire employees yet the owners clearly make no more than 40,000 - 60,000 per year, with work hours far above the norm; Compile that the risk of owning a small business.. certainly not "high income" or "high networth".
