Looking at LaFs setup they were in no shape for war... Hell they didn't have enough bit techers to break... Doesn't mean they can turn it around but LaF was not prepared for war just looking at their tag.

And this will all turn around and we'll see the exact opposite next set. And maybe the set after that it will turn around again. When everything's brought back to zero at the end of every set, commentary like this really doesn't make a difference.

I know nothing about wars except to follow the advice of the people above me, but I do know that wars don't just evaporate at the end of the set. This set is the start. I suggest we wait until next set, or the set after that, or even the set after that before we start wondering who is going to win. After all, the real victor is the clan that is willing to keep restarting when the other clan gets tired and goes home.

Also, gwagers is not a LaF leader. Why you are citing that comment as a reflection on LaF is beyond me... that player isn't even in LAF, to my knowledge.

I'd say a couple of things,

The reason alot of people where playing Farmer/Casher is because there are atleast 10 (I would go as far as saying 15+) people on LaF new to the game (Me included) and Torm is helping/training us. And suggested it would be easier for him to do that if we played Farmer/Casher.

Also, what was the country difference at the time of the FS, because alot of olf LaF players made countries when the war broke out. So we didn't have a member advantage from the outset.


SoL have done a great job getting their big members online and walling. As it happened I got killed on the only night I couldn't be near a computer/Phone died on me. So congrats for that.

Anyway, alot of this seems to be junk posted by the minority who know jack fluff.

Pang knows they are being out fought. He isn't stupid; he is just trying to shed some light on why that is. LaF won't roll over and die. SoL is fighting well and I like to see them win against a bigger clan but you also have to realize that LaF will always defend LaF, on the boards or on the battle field just as you would for SoL.

It's best to keep it all in game IMO.

As far as me posting things about LaF-> anything I've posted has been unbiased and not full of spin.... SoL obviously planned for this war all set and did a good job of it.... but like SS said, this was SoL's war to lose, not LaF's to win, even with the #'s advantage. I know that people like Maki know that an FS erases major member advantages, and since the active LaF'ers were the ones killed in the FS, leaving inactives with untouched countries, that's a huge disparity which needs to be at least discussed.

If SoL had come to us and set up a friendly war, the results would be completely different, as LaF would have been ready to wall and had 120(120) like SoL did. FS's are simply too powerful in general, I've been saying that for years (EC+EE). I can't think of a single major 1v1 war in EE where the person who got FS'ed came back and won.... I can't think of many in EC either, but I can think of TONS from 1a.

That's something else to consider, possibly on a new thread. I always liked wars where it was an long, relatively even contest.... not a 3 day poundfest by the FS'er followed by mopping up for a month, regardless of the path that brought the alliances to war. I don't know how that can be as fun for anyone involved in the war....

I never said LaF didn't outnumber SoL, I just think the numbers some people are mentioning in this thread are way out of proportion. Someone on the first page mentioned LaF had a 20 member advantage, well in my understanding, alot of old members of LaF started a country once we got FS'ed.

honestly, based on the context/wording of the message, I believed that the message was stating that you desired Pang the person to die, not just his country *shrug*.

The FS advantage isnt' even that big of a deal, I mean we can and have come back from being FSed before, that isn't an issue.

The issue is that SOL ran a lot of techers, and we didn't. That is why SOL had a big advantage going into this war. That isn't an "excuse" it is a "reason" (yes the words have different meanings, look it up).

Also, LaF has had a bunch of our vets come back to help in the war, which is why you see our country count at 65 with a half dozen people yet to restart/tag up their restarts, where we were only at 64 countries pre war.

We still had a 17 - 19 country advantage before the war broke out.
