There are players whose sole purpose is to bring balance to the server, and your lack of GDI made that a certainty. They tend to watch the news to see if a country is acting unfairly and, if no other targets present themselves, will opt to use their turns ruining your reset.

Join GDI and don't play like a douche, and you should be fine.
