A single grab isn't going to ruin my reset, take a look at where diplomacy gets you - not only did #72 not get retalled but I gave em a tech ally spot for the way they handled it in game.

Contrast to 28 who I got barely nothing back on the retal, I messaged them saying fair play - they replied saying "its all good" then come back for a double dip. Well damn, if that aint gonna get you messed up what is!?

funny just at the end of last resets abortive attempt at demo techer I concluded that I'd be better off doing all-x rep casher. So this really seems like the ideal opportunity to be lazy :D

I am curious about the futility of banning handles that are basically "1 reset use". Check it out I got loads of em 'all named after the (wrestler) country I played. I know you can see this being a mod and all. What exactly is the problem here?

I wonder if a better mechanic might be that 0 attacks breaks your GDI.

Getting double tapped, I think, means you probably didn't have enough defense - thats kinda on you at least partially.

The biggest issue I feel, is the mediocre players that don't realise that just because they *can* break you, it isn't smart play to do so. In fact they know that being crap as they are and skinny, they are more likely to come out ahead. There is no deterrant to this behaviour and in fact GDI works in their favour more than anyone's.

Take that away and now you have proper accountability. Any attack on a human, invites their retribution however they see fit. That feels more than fair to me.

Under the current system the people who are troll-grabbing get to grab you one time, you can only retal once because you don't want to break GDI, then they get to RoR. So they are getting two fat grabs on you before you can effectively retaliate (because grabbing a skinny country, is *not* effective retaliation).

It should be no surprise that in a game where the mechanics are set up to favour troll-like behaviour, the game becomes full of trolls.

Bots have very specific names, and the source code that generates the names is up on GitHub https://github.com/...r/NameGenerator.class.php

After several resets of checking by hand, you start to see the names and in most cases can spot a bot name on sight.

Confounding factors are:
1. Humans that purposefully create a bot name to generate crazy prizes end of reset.
- screw those guys.
2. The inability of human players to fully comprehend the nature of randomness.
- yes its possible for RNGesus to pick the same name twice out of a list of 100 and call a country RedbeardRedbeard.

The morale of the story is, do whatever the F you wanna do. Don't expect it to always end well :)

As one of the players that hit back, I can categorically state I did not co-ordinate anything with anyone. I spied him, he was low on civs, low on turrets. BR was the natural response, given that he was already in massive DR so I couldn't get any land back.

Surely you are not suggesting that once a player has been hit by someone, nobody else can hit them?

They did, and yet I'm sure that they will be back again with the same brand of mediocrity next reset.

Sorry I wan't clear - Wim Hof was the perpetrator, I'm Adjustment Bureau. Quint tapped by a player that had already been wrecked. Absolutely no reason other than just wrecking someone else.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against that style of play, but if you are going to do it at least make it good. They were mediocre grabs, from a mediocre country on another mediocre country. So weak.

I can't even remember the last time I actually got to finish a reset. Wim Hof this time around. I was doing techer so wasn't even even that fat!

You can't run a decent non GDI country. As soon as you look in good shape a missile will randomly suicide you. 100% gauranteed, every time I forget GDI it happens.

what makes it excruciatingly annoying is that once you have attacked, you cannot even delete and start again.

It is basically - if you forget, your reset is over. It is not even a choice at this point its compulsory, ergo if it is compulsory why not start with it on by default? Make it opt out.
