Do you know whether decrease in population is linearly correlated with the amount of weapon tech you have?

I mean, all those bad ass military tech must be scaring those population off.

In the year 2025, the population of Earth has gone through so many wars that they no longer care about military and weapons.

I dunno, they might not ask for too much from a guy who they know is a player that wants the best for the game. It's more of a volunteer job than intellectual property anyway, isn't it?

can you speak a little on the bonuses? which one is best for each strategy?

also, do you suggest going 100% for the bonus? such as if you feel expenses is worthwhile, however by not getting extra turns in the beginning you are getting off to a slower start, which may be detrimental to a commy in the long run as thats very important.

Which bonus is best is dependent on the server you are playing on, and then the strategy type.

Hey Xinhuan,

Why does the depth of the valley between the two food peaks in alliance each set seem to be growing deeper rather than shallower? Shouldn't people be getting smarter about the upcoming 2nd peak, rather than seemingly getting caught by surprise by it every set?

The number of hours the admins have put in would have nothing to do with the price someone would be willing to pay for this game or for anything for that matter. The cost of the domain/hardware/intellectual property (if any)/goodwill and the anticipated total future revenue streams based on advertisements and what not would be the measure for calculating the price of the game.

What about sentimental value, or an assumed responsibility, where, having put such time and effort into a thing, relinquishing that thing becomes more than a financial calculation, but a question of if, whether, should, at least to a certain price point?

Nope, those are not factors to be considered on the buy side. On the sell side it is almost always inevitable that there will be sentiments involved. Some of that can be factored into Goodwill as I mentioned above already though. With a product such as this where there are obvious sentimental values involved where people come back to it again and again and have played it forever, the goodwill portion I suspect would be a significant portion of the total price. But that would matter more to a buying player than to a buying corporation that has no history with the game.

A deeper (thicker) and progressingly deepening (thickening) of the valley between peaks which would mean that people are smartening up and staying closer to the peaks which would then mean that sooner or later there wouldn't be 2 peaks, but one or none at all, all other factors being equal.

Vice versa for a shallowing (thinning) of the valley. Right?

Since we call the top price a peak, the bottom price between the two peaks is what I call the valley. And the farther it is from the peak, I call that "deeper". And it is becoming deeper.

I'm not talking about thickness, I'm talking about depth, as in measuring the depth of a lake.

You guys are just confused.

To Rockman, thickness refers to the volume of food (more food = thicker market, less food = thinner market), while the the price difference between the peak and valley is the depth.

Well, Rockman is a mathematician, so if you think of it in terms of sine-waves, "amplitude" would be the depth, and "frequency" would be the thickness. :)

A thin market is easier to cause buyout.

i actually tried to draw a sine wave but this is beyond my mastery of primitive phpbb forum code...

side note: kudos to anyone who can draw a reasonably accurate sine wave in the convetional text box here...
