No they do not. Your NW includes them because they still belong to you until they sell (which they won't at end of set).

When playing a techer, what do you do with the daily 20 acre bonuses? Do you:

1. Leave them unbuilt until they go over your BPT?
2. Build them up before they even reach your BPT?
3. Drop them to increase TPT?
4. Other?

1 of course, although it drops tpt its effect isn't big and when is able to build up again gets "losses" back and earthquakes can destroy for example 100 buildings and your bpt is 120 so that 20 acres comes handy.

If you're that picky about it, you can destroy some indies (spy production) to make up the remainder of the BPT to build a full turn of Labs, but I usually don't unless it is time to enter full time stocking - you tear down all your indies then anyway.

HEY XINHUAN!

WHAT WOULD CAUSE A SPY OP OF A COUNTRY WHICH HAS NO ALLIES AND IS NOT UNDER GDI TO SHOW AN EXPENSE IN THE "ALLIANCE/GDI" FIELD?

I RECENTLY SPIED ON A COUNTRY WHICH WAS NOT IN GDI. THE "ALLIANCE/GDI" FIELD SHOWED AN EXPENSE EQUAL TO HIS LAND EXPENSE, CAUSING ME TO WASTE A TURN GETTING AN ALLY OP, ONLY TO CONFIRM WHAT I THOUGHT - THAT HE HAD NO ALLIES.

THIS WAS NOT IN THE SAVED OP. RATHER, IT WAS HOW THE OP APPEARED ON BOXCAR, AND I DON'T REMEMBER WHETHER I NOTICED IT ON THE BOXCAR OP, OR THE IN-GAME OP.

WAt what point do bushels start to decay..ive heard several things but still not quite sure.

I was running some turns on ffa and i had 27mil even bushels on hand. My production is 68,000 i ran 100 turns and was like okay i should 33.8mil or so ..i looked at my buahel count in country and it was just above 31.5mil. Does decay occur every turn or after 20 or 30mil?

If so, i think i been stocking wrong on my large countries :(

Decay of bushels occur all the time, on all bushels. So if you have 1000 bushels on hand, you will lose 1 bushel.

Since you had 27m bushels, you were decaying 27k bushels per turn. (0.1%, or 1 bushel per 1000, easy way to remember is to change the "m" into a "k" by dividing by 1000).

27k bushels over 70 turns would be 1.89m bushels. Probably more since you make more bushels every turn.

In contrast, only the portion of cash above 2b decays at the same rate. So if you had 5.6b cash, 3.6b of it is subject to decay, which is 3.6m per turn.

Okay, so decay occurs faster when having more hand. How often should i place on market..like once every 10 turns or something?

If my production is upwards of 2mil a turn..seems like placing on markt every so many turns makes sense...

You should place food on the market when the decay for that one turn (0.1% of your food) is more than the opportunity cost of spending the turn doing something else.

For example, if you were instead to cash the turn, and that gets you $600k extra cash, then it would be better to store food on the market if your decay is more than 600k dollars worth of food (depends on market price of food).

Yes, this does mean farmers tend to store food every 10 to 15 turns, if they were just straight cashing (as opposed to building CSes for a future MBR convert).

Hey Xinhuan,

1)How little do you actually have to send before the slaughter message pops out? Is there a fix figure, say maybe if you send 10% or less than the target's def, you get the slaughter message

2)What are the min and max for explore rates? A non rep explores 45acres/turn, whats the min and max for explore rates?

3)How does luck bonus affect explore rates?

Marshal Game profile

2: max is 45 as non rep to ~1920 acres and min is 6 as non rep after 16674 acres (unless qz changed that but didn't tell).

3: luck might give you better explore rates but that depends luck.

1. About less than 1/6. Never tested myself, can be wrong.

2. Go to the explore page in game, then click on the "Help information on Exploring" link. The thresholds are all there, and is correct for the server you are on.

3. Increases explore rates by X% where X% is the amount of luck bonus you have.

I'm sorry if my 2nd question is not clear. Let me rephrase that.

Of course I know where to find the explore rates and such. What I'm asking is, for example, I'm a Rep with 1900 acres, my explore rate should be 54 (according to new changes). What is the minimum and maximum acres I would get from exploring that turn? I want to know how big the range is.

Marshal Game profile

land explored per turn isn't solid so you can get 60 acres (if lucky) or 26 acres (if unlucky) so getting to 1960 acres or 1926 acres.

Yes I know its isnt solid. What is the max (if lucky) and min(if unlucky). I'm sure theres a figure/formula like

if x is the explore rate,
Randomly assigned a number from 0.6x-1.4x when exploring.

Don't think anyone knows.

More importantly, does it matter?

h2orich Game profile

It does,

If I have a BPT of 50 and I have 35 barren, with my explore rate (say, 45 on average). If I knew that the max is 65 for example, I know I have a chance of building 2 BPT worth of buildings (or something close), I would actually explore 1 turn and see.

If I knew the min is 30 for example(leaving me with 15 barren if i build 1 BPT after exploring) and the max is 50(leaving me with 35 barren again after building 1 BPT), I would not explore again.

Marshal Game profile

only qz and pang and maybe slagpit and they won't tell (it might be that even they don't know).

I've done many few turns explores where avg acres per turn has been ~35 acres even explore rate was still 40 and many times 1 turn explore has given me under 30 acres with 40 explore rate. Highest as non-rep before change I have got 54 acres on 1 turn and lowest under 30.

best (before changes) multi turns explores have been (as non-rep) over 50 acres per turn (2 turn explore) and 47.33333 acres per turn (3 turns explore).

If you were bored you could test it out by plotting your returns and checking the distribution vs the stated average. It wouldn't be too hard to do. At the very least you would know if it was normal or uniform (my guess is normal from experience). And if I were coding it the standard deviation would be a percentage of the mean.

But I agree with Xin, it's not that important. I don't see it changing my decision making at all.

if he has access to ffa alpha then he could test it but still most likely he would get random results even with 100 attempts.

Hey Xinhuan,

I have a question on off allies.

Assuming Off Ally A have 2m jets
Assuming Off Ally B have 1m jets

I send an SS of 100k jets(Assuming I dont have government bonuses, no weapons)

Knowing that allies can only max double your offence meaning that if I send 100k jets, my allies would only help me 100k jets.

In this case,

1)Ally A will help me out with 100k jets in the battle, Ally B do not help.

OR

2)Ally A will help me out with 50k jets in the battle, Ally B will help me out with the other 50k jets in the battle.

OR

3)Ratio wise, Ally A will help me out with 66k jets in the battle, Ally B will help out with 33k since Ally A have 2m jets and Ally B have only 1m jets.

OR

4)Both Ally A and Ally B will fork out 100k jets each to help out.

What about defence allies?

How is it divided between your 2 def allies when you get hit.
